Race 1: ESK BV SALES & HIRE / ESK CARAVAN BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 800m

BUDDY’S TALE – Stood flat footed and lost ground.
 
UNTOLD SECRETS – Slow to begin, hung out rounding the home turn. App I Rabjones reported the filly felt uncomfortable in its action therefore she didn’t fully test her mount over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinarian examination found no significant findings.
 
GLENBAWNS DUTCHESS – Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
ATOMIC MISSILE – Laid in under pressure over the final 150m
 
BRAYD HEART – Raced in restricted room approaching and rounding the home turn between UNTOLD SECRETS which shifted out and LIGHTHORSE which shifted in.
 
 
 
Race 2: ESK GOLF CLUB MAIDEN PLATE 800m
 
THE DEVASTATOR – Refused to load and was declared a late scratching at 12:38pm by order of the stewards. Upon the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered all moneys invested on THE DEVASTATOR be refunded with the following deductions to apply –
 
10 cents in the dollar for the winner #6
10 cents in the dollar for the place of winner #6
10 cents in the dollar for second place #2
10 cents in the dollar for third place #1
 
Trainer J. Armstrong was advised that the mare would be required to obtain a further barrier certificate before being permitted to race again.
 
MISS DOLLY – As R Faehr was late arriving on course due to transport difficulties Stewards permitted M Crawford to be substituted as the rider. Slow to begin and failed to muster early speed.
 
SHE’S WHITTIE – Reared on jumping and lost ground.
 
MISS DOLLY – Slow to begin and failed to muster early speed.
 
LADY RASCAL – Raced 4 wide the entire.
 
 
 
Race 3: ANGELA AND THERESE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1200m
 
ROCK ME HUSSEY - Reared on jumping and lost ground.
 
GIDDYUP – Slow to begin.
 
MAC’S GAL – Slow to begin, raced 3 wide  the entire.
 
BEAU TIRAGE – Over raced in the early stages when being restrained
 
SIR BAM – Raced 3 wide cover the majority.
 
IMPLACABLE – Laid out the majority.
 
KENTFORD – Laid in rounding the home turn and became momentarily awkward.
 
 
 
Race 4: STONEHOUSE RETREAT QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1460M
 
OUR SPIDER – Slow to begin.
 
MISTA LONGHORN – Slow to begin and raced wide throughout.
 
OUT FOX’EM – Raced wide throughout.
 
DREAM ON LUCY – Raced 3 wide the entire.
 
 
 
Race 5: GRAND HOTEL ESK CLASS B HANDICAP 1460m
 
TRUMPFUL – Slow to begin and raced wide throughout.
 
SHE WONT LISTEN – Slow to begin.
GRATSIE – Approaching the 700m improved onto heels of CROOKED ARROW and shifted out making contact with MORE FIERCE.
 
HUGS ‘N’ KISSES – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
KING BART – Raced 3 wide with cover.
 
IBERIAN LACE - Raced 4 wide throughout.
 
RAINGURL – Raced 4 wide with cover.
 
MORE FIERCE – V Venkaya was permitted to ride the gelding at 0.5kg over its allotted weight of 56kg.  Bumped at the 700m when GRATSIE shifted out.
