Race 1 - Class B Handicap (800 METRES)
ROOTS’N’ROCKS – Raced three-wide throughout.
WHITSUNDAY LAD – Laid out rounding the home turn.
AGENT ALBERT – As had not started for an extended period, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
MISS LITERATI – As had not started for an extended period, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
OAKFIELD COMANCHE – Slow to begin.  Leaving the 600 metres, improved to the inside of the heels of OUR BOY BORRIS when over-racing and had to be steadied.  As a result, both EXCEEDINGLY MEHGA and BRIGALOW QUEEN, which were racing to the outside of OUR BOY BORRIS, were tightened and placed in restricted room for a short distance.  Raced in restricted room to the inside of OUR BOY BORRIS rounding the home turn, and again approaching the finish line.
KONNICHIWA – Raced four-wide throughout.
EXCEEDINGLY MEHGA – Tightened and placed in restricted room leaving the 600 metres.
BRIGALOW QUEEN – Tightened and placed in restricted room leaving the 600 metres.
LEICA FIRECRACKER – Raced six-wide throughout.  Rider K Gates was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres, one more than permitted.
TEZZA – Began awkwardly and lost ground.  Rider C Meehan dropped his whip near the 150 metres.
 
Race 2 - QTIS Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)
Declaration of correct weight was delayed when connections of fourth placegetter, VERY SOON, viewed the photo finish image for third place.  After doing so, correct weight was declared on the semaphored numbers.
AWESOME POWER – Stewards accepted the explanation from trainer M Currie regarding the late declaration of rider on the mare.
KUNGFLU – Had a tendency to lay out shortly after the start.  Made the home turn awkwardly and shifted out taking both PASSTOW and CHERAX DESTRUCTOR wider on the course.
BEEF’N’BLACK BEAN – Slow to begin.  Raced greenly and inclined to lay out near the 800 metres.  Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages.
CHERAX DESTRUCTOR – Raced three-wide with cover throughout. Laid in rounding the 800-metre turn. Taken wider rounding the home turn.
PASSTOW – Shortly after the start, was bumped by KUNGFLU, which laid out.  Crowded for room and had to be steadied near the 1000 metres when AWESOME POWER shifted in when not fully clear. In the presence of Jockey advocate. In the presence of Mr Jeff Lloyd, apprentice A Jones, rider of AWESOME POWER, was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a).  Taken wider rounding the home turn.  Raced three-wide without cover throughout.
MISS PIXIE – Began awkwardly.  Near the 800 metres, crowded for room and had to be steadied between BEEF’N’BLACK BEAN which laid out when racing greenly, and CHERAX DESTRUCTOR which laid in.
MADAME GRACE – As had not started for an extended period, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.  On arrival behind the barriers and at the request of the rider, underwent a second pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
 
Race 3 - BENCHMARK 60 Handicap (1200 METRES)
SEE FOR YOURSELF – Slow to begin.  Leaving the 900 metres, when over-racing, had to be steadied off the heels of JUST FAVULOUS.
PATCHE GIFT – When asked to comment on the below-market performance, trainer D Reynolds advised that PATCHE GIFT is better suited to racing on firmer racing surfaces than that of today.
MUSIC SCENE – Raced wide throughout.
ESKDALE GIRL – The saddle on the mare required re-adjustment on arrival at the barriers resulting in the start being delayed.  Hampered near the 300 metres.
STAZZANA – Steadied from the heels of SEE FOR YOURSELF leaving the 900 metres.  Near the 300 metres, when shifting out to improve, became unbalanced and laid out for a short distance resulting in both ESKDALE GIRL and WILD ELEMENT being hampered.
WILD ELEMENT – Hampered near the 300 metres.
TURBO TEDDY – Raced three-wide with cover throughout.
 
Race 4 - Class B Handicap (1460 METRES)
FURY OF THE STORM – Leaving the 600 metres, when over-racing, shifted in despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in SERRIANO being tightened and contacting the running rail and being checked.
PRUNDA – Slow to begin.  Raced three-wide without cover throughout.
SOUTH SANTO – Slow to begin.
SERRIANO – Checked near the 600 metres.  A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed a laceration to the off foreleg, which was treated by the on-course veterinary surgeon.  Trainer S Pedron advised stewards SERRIANO would now be sent for a spell.
OUR BOY TRAV – Raced three-wide with cover throughout.
OBJECTIVE – Raced four-wide without cover in the early and middle stages of the event.
 
Race 5 - BENCHMARK 55 Handicap (1750 METRES)
ABERLADY – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the event.  Rider C Meehan was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100 metres, one more than permitted.
HARADIFY – Jumped away awkwardly.
BOLTIN’ DESIRE – Over-raced and became awkward at the heels of CYCLONE KAYCEE near the 900 metres. 
FALAEB – A post-race veterinary examination of the mare showed signs of tying-up, and to be short-striding behind.  Trainer S Pedron advised FALAEB would now be sent for a spell.
PRINCE HUSSON – Raced three-wide in the early and middle stages of the event.
CYCLONE KAYCEE – Passing the winning post on the first occasion, laid out.  Following today’s disappointing performance, trainer D Pascoe advised stewards CYCLONE KAYCEE would now be leaving his stable.
