Race 1: Ewan QTIS Maiden Plate – 800 metres:
1st – BELLE I AM 2nd – SAVAGE LAND 3rd – YOUNG BASIL 4th – CITY CHAT

SWEET DANISH – Was slow to begin. Near the 600 metres was taken wider on the track by another runner who was over racing and had to be steadied of heels.

TAMARIKI STAR – Over raced in the early stages.

CITY CHAT – Near the 600 metres commenced to over race and had to be shifted wider on the track to avoid the heels of another runner. In doing so took another runner wider on the track.


Race 2: Sir Rupert Clark Benchmark 65 Handicap – 1200 metres:
1st – ATHABASCA 2nd – PROUD WARRIOR 3rd – CYCLONE LARRY 4th – GUN AND POWER

CLICK UP – Began awkwardly.

GUN AND POWER – Failed to muster any early speed.

ATHABASCA – Near the 600 metres had a tendency to lay in.

PROUD WARRIOR – Had a tendency to hang out near the 500 metres.



Race 3: Ewan Ladies Bracelet Class 3 Plate – 1000 metres:
1st – ROC’ DA FLOOR 2nd – SLICK SHOES 3rd – MOLONGLE DASH 4th – BELLE VERDE

BELLE VERDE – Slow into stride.

Race 4: Townsville APEX Benchmark 74 Handicap – 1000 metres:
1st – ISSUES 2nd – MISHANI PERSUADER 3rd – SHADOW BUSTER 4th – SHADOW LINE


WELL SATISFIED - Slow to begin.

NAN BELL – Near the 800 metres had a tendency to hang out then a short distance later dipped causing its rider to become unbalance for a stride. Then near the 600 metres made contact with the running rail.

SHADOW BUSTER – Failed to muster any early speed. Near the 600 metres raced in restricted room for a stride.

SHADOW LINE – Apprentice rider dropped her whip near the 100 metres.

Race 5: Stockyard Class B Handicap – 800 metres
1st – PINE ISLAND 2nd – CRAIGLEA OPAL 3rd – CRAIGLEA FOCUS 4th – STREET ART

STREET ART – On jumping away was bumped by another runner and lost ground.

PINE ISLAND – Was bumped by another runner onjumping.
