Shifted out passing 800m bumping with another runner. Raced wide from the 300m. BRIDGERTON - Slow to begin. Became unbalanced when bumped by another runner passing the 800m.BYTACT - A Veterinary inspection conducted on arrival at the barriers revealed a superficial tongue wound, and the gelding was passed fit to start. Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Awkwardly placed on heels, having to be steadied passing the 800m. ACTION JACKSON - Raced wide for the majority.MIND GAME - Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running proving difficult to be ridden out as a result. Trainer L McCormack was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing manners. Raced wide for the majority. Race 2: CANNINDAH RESOURCES CLASS 6 PLATE 1300mROTHMAN - Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. Raced wide for the majority. VERBALIZER - Jockey C Spry advised that, in his opinion, that the gelding did not handle today’s firm racing surface. KEIGHLEY SUN - Jockey L Morrison advised that, in her opinion, the gelding was not comfortable on today’s racing surface. Became momentarily unbalanced after putting in an awkward stride passing the 450m. Race 3: NORTHEN AIRCODITIONING & AU CONTRACTING RATINGS BAND 0-55 HANDICAP 1300mWOTSIZNAME - Momentarily unbalanced after being bumped by another runner passing the 400m. Raced wide for the majority. AS YAWOOD - Slowly into stride. Momentarily held up passing the 300m when a runner to its outside was inclined to lay in under pressure. Wide in the early and middle stages. DESERT SUNDOWN - Slowly into stride. Shifted out passing the 400m bumping with another runner. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running, despite the efforts of App K Swaffer, hampering another runner passing the 300m. BROOKWYN - Slowly into stride. HALLSIDE HOT STUFF - Jockey J Felix was fined the sum of $400 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip on 8 occasions, 3 more than permitted, prior to the 100m. Raced wide for the majority. MIGHTY MARMALADE - Raced wide for the majority. TEMPO(NZ) - Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Race 4: SIR RUPERT CLARKE & CO EWAN BRACELET OPEN HANDICAP 1000mTHE TENOR – Trainer S D’Avila was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions of AR106 after presenting the gelding to race without blinkers.DREAM I CAN - Shifted wider passing the 600m, racing wide from that point. MOLONGLE MAGIC - Slowly into stride. BOYER - Stewards permitted Jockey G Kliese to ride the gelding 0.5kg over its allotted weight. Commenced to race ungenerously passing the 600m due to the kickback in running. TYCOON THUNDER - Jockey F Edwards advised that, in his opinion, the gelding never travelled comfortably throughout the event. Jockey F Edwards was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(i) in that he used his whip in consecutive strides prior to the 100m. Race 5: JAYSEL BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1750mFRASCATI MISS - As Jockey S Sheargold was not to be in attendance at today’s race meeting, Jockey F Edwards who was a late replacement was permitted to ride the mare 0.5kg over its allotted weight. Trainer Mr R Williams was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of AR232 for failing to comply with an official direction. NATURE DEEL was declared a late scratching at 4:48pm after being found to be lame in the near fore leg. All monies invested on mare were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to the time of scratching:16 cents in the dollar for the win14 cents in the dollar for the place Trainer R Gudge was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to the mare again being permitted to start in a race.LOVE FLIES - Slowly into stride. Raced wide for the majority. SALSA DREAMING - Raced wide in the early stages. Shifted out abruptly on entering the home straight and bumped with another runner. MARVELLOUS HEART - Inclined to over-race in the middle stages. Bumped by another runner which shifted out on entering the home straight. Raced wide throughout. NOIR JACK - Raced wide in the early stages. BATTLE - Raced wide for the majority. TIDES OF TOKYO - Inclined to over-race in the early stages when being restrained in an attempt to obtain cover. Commenced to race ungenerously in the middle stages due to kickback in running. Race 6: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/NEUTRIEN AG SOLUTIONS EWAN CUP BNCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1750mZOUVILLA - Bumped by another runner soon after jumping. STRIKE A BEAU - Placed in restricted room between runners for a short distance soon after jumping. Severely hampered passing the 1550m when a runner to its outside shifted in when insufficiently clear. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained a minor laceration to the off fore leg.ASK ME TOMORROW - Shifted in soon after jumping, bumping with a runner to its inside. BREAK MY STRIDE - Jockey F Edwards was found guilty of careless riding under the provisions of AR131(a) in that passing the 1550m he directed his mount inwards under riding when insufficiently clear of STRIKE A BEAU (N Nelson) causing that runner loose its rightful running. Jockey Edwards’ licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence 3/10/2021 up to and including 11/10/2021. In determining penalty Stewards considered the level of both carelessness and interference to be in the low-range, and Jockey Edwards’ record in relation to the rule. ROCK SPUR - Raced wide for the majority. Was hampered by another runner which shifted out leaving the 400m.BERNIE’S TIGER - Raced wide for the majority. FAST TRAIN - Performed below market expectations. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer D Hansen was of the opinion the gelding had come to the end of its preparation and advised it would now be turned out for an immediate spell. ELLE A WALKING - Leaving the 400m shifted out across heels to obtain clear running, hampering another runner in doing so. Jockey P Cullen was severely reprimanded as a result of this incident.
