Race 1:  Gatton View Hotel QTIS Maiden Plate 1400m
 
OUR CINDRELLA – Slow into stride.
 
IMPOSING CLARE – Hung out throughout and performed poorly. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer R. Carter was advised that the mare must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
 
OAKFIELD CECILIA – Raced wide with cover throughout and was forced wider by another runner passing the 700m.
 
WENSLEY ROAD – Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.
 
ROCKY HALO – Raced greenly throughout.
 
SHEER EASY – Hampered between runners on jumping and lost ground.
 
CHATARA- Hampered on jumping.
 
FETHARD – Raced wide without cover.
 
LITTLE MISS MONACO – Bumped on jumping and raced wide after being shifted wider passing the 700m.
 
 
Race 2:  Lockyer Produce Class B Handicap 860m
 
CONNOR – As the gelding had not started for over two years was pre-race examined by the veterinarian and cleared to take its place in the field.
 
Due to a clerical error M. Cox was listed as a claiming apprentice when in fact as of Wednesday 8th February 2017 her licence was approved as a senior rider. A public announcement were made to this effect prior to the race.
 
SALTARELLO – Slow into stride.
 
KARMA FORCE – Raced wide throughout.
 
BRAVADO MISS – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 3:  Cook’s Transport Maiden Plate 1100m
 
FROGMOUTH – Raced wide throughout.
 
OUTBACK ANDY – Raced wide throughout.
 
LIPS’N HIPS – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
VINTAGE LACE – Had to be steadied off heels passing the 800m.
 
DANCING DERINA -  Raced erratically approaching the first turn and shifted out passing the 800m.
 
 
Race 4:  Oz Lav Plumbing Benchmark 50 Handicap 1100m
 
After consultation with club officials and the on course veterinarian the start of this race was brought forward by 15 minutes to avoid the rising temperatures.
 
ARCHDUKE – Declared a late scratching at 10.20am on vet’s advice. Stewards advised Trainer W. Bannerot that a vet certificate must be provided.
 
After the running of Race 2, Trainer K. Waller made an application to scratch PERZERO due to the prevailing heat conditions. Stewards acceded to his request and declared the gelding a late scratching at 12.30pm
Correct weight was delayed for Stewards to view the patrol film to ascertain whether MANYANA MISS was afforded a fair start. After doing so Stewards declared MANYANA MISS a runner and gave correct weight on the numbers semaphored.
MANYANA MISS – Stood flat footed and missed the start by at least 10 lengths.
Trainer B. Robinson was advised that the mare must trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again.
 
EARLSTOUN RULER – Rider B. Appo lost his whip at the 100m mark.
 
DEPUTY PECK – Overraced early and had to be steadied when tightened for room passing the 700m.  J. Hoopert rider of TUNED IN was reprimanded for shifting in when not fully clear.
