Stewards intend to speak with trainer D. Hansenn regarding the circumstances surrounding the scratchings of Beveile (Race 6) andd Airlie Reward (Race 8) at a later date.

Race 1: Lockyer Valley Residential Village QTIS 3yo Maiden Plate 1400m
 
Connections of 2nd placegetter, DAZZLING GREY- requested to view the photo-finish forr 1st.. After reviewing thee print they were satisfied with the Judgees placings and correct weight was declared.
 
MERLIN THE WIZARD Stewards approved a late riding change from J. Morris to T. Brooker for acceptable reasons. Raced wide throughout the event without cover.
 
WHO AM I -- Slow to begin.
 
SHEEZINEJAM Hung in over the final 200m of the event.
 
SECRET AGENT Jockey L. Cassidy reported that approaching the 400m his mount became unbalanced and failed to run on over the concluding stages.
Race 2: Wilson Bros Finance Maiden Plate 1100m
 
TAKES TIME Trainer L. Gough was fined $100 for a late rider declaration.. Raced wide throughout without cover.
 
DODGIES WAY -- Examined by the veterinary surgeon prior to the start after lashing out and contacting a barrier partition.. The horse was subsequently passed fit to start. Hung in over the final 200m.
 
ELECTRIC ANNA Slow to beginn and was bumpedd shortly after the start.
 
IMPERIOUS ROSE Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
 
Race 3: Grantham Premium Farm Workers Resort Maiden Plate 1100m
 
KILRUSH Began awkwardly before shifting out abruptly, and then raced erratically in the early and middles stages.
 
JACARANDA PRINCE Inconvenienced shortly after the start.
 
WOLFTALES Unable to obtain clear running between the 400m and 200m.
 
EVENING Raced 3 wide without cover.
 
 
Race 4: Vanderfieldds Gatton (John Deere) HHcap 860m
 
MAN OVERBOARD Declared a late scratching at 7.45 am after it sustained a laceration to a foreleg. Connections were advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to its next start.
 
OUR ROCK OOREILLY Reared in the barrier stalls and became cast. Declared a late scratching at 2.39 pm on veterinary advice.. A post race veterinary examination found no apparent abnormalities. Connections were advised that it would be required to requalify in an official trial before racing again.
 
TRUCULENT Which was drawn inside OUR ROCK OOREILLY wass kicked on numerous occasions and declared a late scratching at 2.39 pm on veterinary advice
 
Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on the OUR ROCK OOREILLY and TRUCULENT were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.
 
48 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets
422 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets for the place
42 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets
39 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets.
 
TYCOON ZIP Broke through the gates and galloped for a short distance before returning to the start.. A veterinary examination determined it was fit to start. Bumped approaching the 700m.
 
WHATEVR MISS Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
MAGIC STREET Jockey J. Morris reported that his mount failed to handle todayys track conditions.
 
 
Race 5: Royal George Hotel (Rosewood) Class 1 HHcap 1600m
 
COLLYWOBBLE Reared as the gates were released, missing the start considerably. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the mare regarding its barrier manners.
 
BEAUTIFUL LOVE Tightened for room shortly after the start.
 
EKSPRESS KING Had to be steadied when crowded for room near the 1200m.
 
ISLAND SUNSET Held up between the 500m and 300m.. Hung in noticeably over the final 250m. Apprentice N. Keal reported his mount returned to scale with blood in its mouth.. Apprentice Keal was advised in future to ensure that he maintains a true line in the run to the finish.. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the horse regarding its racing manners.
 
ALTOVISE Tired noticeably over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examinationn revealed no apparent abnormalities.
Trainer D. Newman was advised that considering todayys poor performance nominations for the mare would be refused at TAB meetings.
 
Race 6: Lockyer Produce Class 1 HHcap 1100m
 
BEVEILE Declared a late scratching at 8.34 amm due to track conditions
 
CALCETINES Slow to begin.
 
ASK AUDREY Slow to begin.
 
TAPTHETILL Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination when some blood was detected in its mouth and was subsequently passed fit to start. Raced 3 wide throughout without cover.
 
NORTHERN REVENGE Had a tendency to lay in near the 400m. Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

Race 7: McNeil Farms Class 3 HHcap 1100m
 
SUGAR RAY RED Connections advisedd they may vary their tactics and attempt to race in a more forward position. Hampered shortly after the start, which resulted in it racing in a rearward position. Held up rounding the home turn and then had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 250m to the 150m.
 
QUATTRO FANTASTICO Held up from the 500m to the 300m.
 
SCREAMING IMPULSE Held up rounding the home turn.
 
OVERGROWN
Raced 3 wide without cover throughout the event.
 
CODE ONE Apprentice E. Ljung lost her whip near the 200m. Raced 4 wide without cover throughout the event.
 
 
Race 8: Gatton View Hotel Benchmark 58 HHcap 1400m
 
AIRLIE REWARD Declared a late scratching at 8.34 am due to track conditions.
 
A false start was declared when MS SARANDON broke through the barriers just prior to the gates being released.. This resulted in all runners travelling a short distance before returning to the barriers.. All runners were examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to start.. A warning was placed on MS SARANDON, which was difficult to load.
