Race 1: LOCKYER PRODUCE OPEN H’CAP – 860M
 
MONTE LAGO – Steadied from heels near the 500m.
 
Race 2: CLUCK FARMS BENCHMARK 58 H’CAP – 1600M
 
The start of this race was delayed when RITCHFORD required a tongue-tie to be refitted upon arriving at the barriers.
 
MUSTARRID – After beginning moderately, Apprentice C. Gallagher pressed his mount forward to race outside the leader near the 1300m. Apprentice Gallagher reported that the gelding had an inclination to lay out throughout.
 
ANNIHILATION – Jockey M. Hellyer reported that he attempted to restrain his mount to obtain cover approaching the 1100m, however the gelding overraced which prevented him from doing so.
 
RITCHFORD – Held up for clear running between the 400m and 300m, and was then disappointed for a run between runners near the 150m which prevented it from being fully tested over the concluding stages.
 
DAZET – Hung in under pressure over the final 150m.
 
Race 3: ARGICULTURAL REQUIREMENTS GATTON BENCHMARK 58 H’CAP – 860M
 
The start of this race was delayed when COALBANK CAVIAR proved difficult to load. Shortly thereafter the gelding broke through the front of the barrier and dislodged its rider before galloping a considerable distance. COALBANK CAVIAR was declared a late scratching at 1.05pm on veterinary advice. All monies invested on the gelding were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable.

The connections of COALBANK CAVIAR were advised that a warning will be placed against the gelding for its barrier manners.
 
JEPTOO – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected losing considerable ground. Hung in noticeably over the final 300m.
 
IMAGINALTHEPEOPLE – Hung in in the early and middle stages, and then ran wider approaching the home turn.
 
MAN OVERBOARD – Put in an awkward stride near the 250m.
 
Race 4: ROYAL GEORGE HOTEL ROSEWOOD BENCHMARK 58 H’CAP – 860M
 
WINNING ACCORD – Began moderately. Hung in near the 600m. Unable to obtain a clear run over the concluding stages.
 
LAST ROUND – Raced 4 wide throughout. Bumped leaving the 400m. Hung in noticeably for the length of the home straight.
 
PORN STAR PETE – Slow to begin. Put in an awkward stride near the 300m. Bumped near the 100m.
 
LUSHNESS – Became fractious in the barriers and was slow to begin.
 
KID CRUIZE – Steadied and clipped heels when awkwardly placed passing the 600m.
 
STORM ANCHOR – Raced 5 wide throughout.
 
Race 5: RAY BACHMANN REAL ESTATE LAIDLEY MAIDEN H’CAP – 1100M
 
AHWAHNEECHEE – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Forced wider on the home turn.
 
IT’SGLORIAMA – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
WICCAN REDE – Made the home turn awkwardly.
 
ARCING HARD – Began awkwardly.
 
CHICOUTIMI – Heavily bumped on the hindquarters on jumping away. Inconvenienced near the 800m due to interference ahead of the mare.
 
RISK ADVISOR – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Put in an awkward stride, and shifted in abruptly, when racing between runners near the 800m and then overraced for a short distance.
 
LUCKY’S LIL GIRL – Severely checked and lost ground leaving the 800m when RISK ADVISOR shifted in abruptly away from ARCING HARD. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
TIGER STRYKE – Slow to begin.
 
Race 6: WILSON BROS FINANCE QTIS 3YO BENCHMARK 65 H’CAP – 1100M
 
TAPA – Steadied when placed in restricted room close to the line.
 
CHINCHINBILLA – Became fractious in the barriers and was slow to begin. Shifted wider on the track, and was steadied from heels, when overracing near the 800m.
 
THE GROOM – Slow to begin.
 
TOUJOURS L’AMOUR – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
MILLY MUNCHER – Raced wide for the majority. Momentarily lost the rein near the 200m.
 
OKANAGAN MISS – Put in an awkward stride near the 750m.
 
RED COLOUR – Raced wide with cover for the majority.
 
Following the running of this race, Apprentice S. Sweeney complained of head and neck pain. Apprentice Sweeney was assessed by Queensland Ambulance Officers and directed to the Toowoomba Base Hospital. Apprentice Sweeney was advised that she will be required to provide a medical clearance prior to riding again.
 
Race 7: GATTON CUP SATURDAY 2ND JUNE BENCHMARK 62 H’CAP – 1100M
 
After viewing the Stewards’ patrol footage, the connections of WINE BARREL, placed 2nd by the Judge, lodged an objection against ALL AMUK being declared the winner, alleging interference over the final 150m. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the videos, Stewards found that whilst ALL AMUK did shift in over the concluding stages, they were of the view that the interference suffered to WINE BARREL was not sufficient to uphold the protest, and therefore dismissed the objection and declared correct weight on the Judge’s placings.
 
TIN’S POCKET – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
ALL AMUK – Shifted ground when placed under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
STICK WITH ME – Began moderately before improving along the fence shortly after the start. Hung out approaching the home turn. Apprentice H. Phillips reported that her mount began awkwardly resulting in her sustaining a minor laceration to her left knee.
 
WINE BARREL – Began moderately. Raced in restricted room over the latter stages of the race.
 
MIA HOST – Inclined to hang out at various stages, and raced 3 wide throughout.
 
ARGYLL BAY – Overraced in the early stages before restraining to a rearward position.
 
ALMAZAN – Stewards accepted the explanation provided by Trainer J. Dann regarding the late scratching of the gelding.
 
Race 8: MARQUEE PACKAGES @ IPSWICHTICKETS – BOOK NOW CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1400M
 
EXPLOSIVE EVIE – Bumped at the start. Forced extremely wide by another runner and lost considerable ground near the 1200m, and then raced wide throughout.
 
NOBLE BILLY – Bumped at the start, and then ran off the track near the 1200m before being eased out of the event by its rider. Jockey R. Goltz reported that his mount was intractable. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Connections were advised that the gelding will be required to requalify in a barrier trial prior to its next race start.
 
MONEY TALK – Raced 5 wide in the early stages. Apprentice B. Nothdurft reported that, in his opinion, the gelding failed to run out today’s distance of 1400m.
 
COURTING JOY – Raced 4 wide in the early stages.
 
STAR OF COLUMBIA – Overraced in the middle stages.
 
CHELSEA DIAMOND – Had to be checked near the 1200m.
 
HAY LIFE – Slow to begin.
 
MISS BENETEAU – Overraced in the early stages.
 
ISLAND SUNSET – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. Momentarily steadied near the 650m.
 
WENSLEY ROAD – Raced 6 wide in the early stages.
