Jockey Allen was fined $500. In determining penalty, Stewards, having reviewed the text messages, were of the opinion that there were no integrity issues arising out of the messages sent.

Race 4: BILL FAULKNER MEMORIAL COLTS, GELDINGS AND ENTIRES BM55 H’CAP – 1100M

After viewing the Stewards’ patrol footage, Apprentice M. Murphy, the rider of BLAINE which was placed 2nd by the Judge, lodged an objection against CYCLONE KAYCEE being declared the winner, alleging interference from leaving the 300m. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the videos, Stewards found that whilst CYCLONE KAYCEE did lay in in the home straight and that BLAINE did shift to the outside approaching the 100m to secure clear running, they could not be satisfied that BLAINE had established a run to the inside of CYCLONE KAYCEE before shifting to the outside approaching the 100m. Stewards therefore dismissed the objection, and declared correct weight on the Judge’s placings.
