MISS DYNAMIC – When questioned by Stewards in relation to the seemingly improved performance, the stable representative for trainer Mr. B. Cavanagh advised that at the filly’s most recent start it met with interference at the start and was checked in running and, as a result, settled further back in the field than anticipated. She added that, in her opinion, the filly is far better suited when able to lead and dictate in its races, as evidenced by its win today and also when successful at Toowoomba on 22 February 2020. SWAN ISLAND – Trainer B. Gorman was fined $100 for the late declaration of K. Yoshida as rider. Bumped heavily at the start. Laid in in the home straight. Savva, the rider of 4th placegetter LAZARO, to view the Stewards patrol footage near the 600m to ascertain whether there were grounds to lodge an objection against TORRIENTE, which was placed 1st by the Judge. After viewing the patrol footage, Apprentice M. Savva elected not to proceed and correct weight was declared on the Judge’s semaphored numbers. RAGI MAC – Began awkwardly and made heavy contact with the barrier partition. Jockey E. On return to scale, jockey E. Trainer M. Currie also expressed disappointment in the performance, for which he could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be exhibiting an abnormal upper respiratory noise. In light of this report, Mr. Currie undertook to have an endoscopic examination carried out on the mare. LI’L RODGE – Stewards accepted trainer L.
