Race 1: TAB Maiden Handicap 860 metres
 
HOOFPRINT - Inclined to hang out for the majority of the event.
 
TURFFONTERI - Raced three wide without cover throughout. Raced keenly approaching and leaving the 600m. Approaching the 300m steadied to avoid the heals of HOOFPRINT which laid out despite the best efforts of its rider.
 
EMPIRE PRINCESS - Bumped heavily by another runner approaching the 200m.
 
FAINTLY MACABRE - Slow to begin. Raced four wide without cover throughout. Rider reported that the filly raced greenly throughout.
 
LEXUS LADY - Shifted in abruptly approaching the 200m making heavy contact with another runner.
 
Race 2: LOCKYER PRODUCE Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
JAY BEE - Jumped with its head in air. At the 100m raced in restricted room and was forced to ease.
 
MIDNIGHT DRUMMER - Began awkwardly.
 
TAKE THE LEAD - Wide without cover throughout.
 
MOMEMORY - Began awkwardly lost ground and as a result settled further back than anticipated. At a point leaving the 500m shifted out making heavy contact with the hind quarters of another runner as a result became severely unbalanced. Checked after improving onto heals rounding the 300m.
 
FERGUS EN MARCHE - Began awkwardly.
 
GREYT INTENTIONS - At a point leaving the 500m shifted in across heals making heavy contact with another runner to the inside. Jumped a shadow on the track passing the winning post. Jockey El-issa was reprimanded for use of whip on consecutive occasions prior to the 100m. AR132(7)(a)(i)
 
Race 3: 2021 TAB GATTON CUP SATURDAY 26TH JUNE Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
JAZZ - Near the 1000m improved onto heals and was steadied.
 
ENTERPRISE ELECTRA - Three wide without cover throughout.
 
BOLD ANGEL - Steadied and raced in restricted room approaching the 300m and held up for clear running approaching the 200m. When questioned regarding the below market expectation performance, Jockey Tilley reported that his mount was not suited to the moderate tempo during the middle stages. He added that he had some difficulty securing clear running in the home straight however, ran on well over the concluding stages when afforded clear running. Stewards noted Jockey Tilley’s explanation. Jockey L Tilley was fined $300 under AR211 for returning to scale in excess of 0.5 of a kilogram overweight.
 
TEVERINA - Slow to begin. Laid out rounding the turn near the 900m, and continued to lay out for a considerable distance.
 
CRUZADOS - Slow to begin. Steadied and forced wider to avoid heals near the 900m. Jockey G Walters was fined $300 under AR211 for returning to scale in excess of 0.5 of a kilogram overweight.
 
Race 4: TRACKSIDE MARQUEE PACKAGES AVAILABLE BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 860 metres
 
SERTIN - Inclined to hang out around the home turn.
 
REMEMBER MARY - Apprentice O. Webb dislodged on jumping. Jumped the outside running rail post-race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have sustained a laceration to off hind leg. Trainer B. Azel was advised the mare would require a veterinary certificate prior to next racing. After being assessed by the Queensland Ambulance Service Olivia Webb and was subsequently stood down from all further riding engagements. Replaced as per stewards summary.
 
GOOD GRAB - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
BID IN A HURRY ( NZ) - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
Race 5: BOOK TICKETS VIA FACEBOOK OR CLUB WEBSITE QTIS 3YO Maiden Plate 1100 metres
 
BAKUHATSU - Tailed off from the 300m taking no further competitive part in the event. Post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. As this was the first time the gelding had bled from both nostrils Trainer T Evans was advised the runner would be barred from racing for a period of three months and must complete a satisfactory 1000m gallop in front of stewards prior to returning.
 
PETA CALADA - Tightened for room shortly after the start making contact with another runner to the outside.
 
MISERY MISS - Began awkwardly.
 
RUBYEXPRESS - Bumped by another runner to the inside shortly after the start. Raced wide until ridden forward to obtain the leading position near the 700m.
 
ZARGIFT - Raced keenly with its head in the air from the 900m to a point leaving the 700m.
 
 
Race 6: CORAL SCHIMMING MEMORIAL Class 4 Handicap 1100 metres
 
BESTIE - Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ROYAL PHOENIX - Slow to begin.
 
EASY COME - Wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
LADY MELBA (NZ) - Raced wide in the early stages until obtaining a position outside the leader leaving the 700m.
 
ZAITEKI - Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.
 
NEWS DIRECTOR - Slow to begin.
 
ANIMAL INSTINCT - Wide with cover throughout.
 
Race 7: MCNEIL FARMS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600 metres
 
BERNIE'S TIGER - Over raced during the early and middle stages.
 
TOFFIE LADY - Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
TOO HOT TO HOLD - Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
JABALIC - Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
PARLOUR - Slow to into stride.
 
WAKE UP VICTA - Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event. Inclined to lay in in the middle stages.
 
BONSEA - Broke through the barrier prior to the race beginning and was quickly restrained by its rider. Upon examination by the veterinary surgeon was passed fit to run.
 
Race 8: HAPPY 91ST BIRTHDAY RAY HINES BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1400 metres
 
SHINNECOCK - Late Scratching at 3:26pm after being unable to be loaded. Upon the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all money invested on the gelding be refunded with the following deductions to apply-
 
1st 0 cents the win and 0 cents the place
2nd 3 cents the place
3rd 3 cents the place
 
Trainers representative for Mr D Murphy was advised the gelding will require two further barrier certificates one of which must be in an official trial.
 
BUZZER BEATER - Shifted out approaching the 700m causing INDUCEMENT to momentarily race in restricted room.
 
FRONT PAGE NEWS - Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
MY TARANAKI (NZ) - Raced wide without cover throughout the early stages and three wide with cover for the majority there after.
 
INDUCEMENT - Approaching the 700m momentarily raced in restricted room when BUZZER BEATER shift out.
 
SPOOLING - Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
ALL JEED UP – Jockey B Northduft was reprimanded for under AR 132(7)(a)(ii) for his excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m
 
VASSA BLUE - Due to a misunderstanding A. Allan was incorrectly engaged as the rider of the gelding. Subsequently N. Tomizawa was the replacement rider. Following the poor performance of the gelding the trainer K Bowman reported that it is now his intention to send the gelding for a significant spell during which time he would consider the gelding s racing future.
 
Race 9: KLUCK FARMS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100 metres
 
 
ACCUMULATED - Three wide without cover throughout.
 
CHOCOLATE OREO - Tightened for room near the 700m.
 
OAKFIELD GERONIMO - Apprentice O. Kendal was reprimanded for her use of the whip on more than five occasions prior to the 100m. AR132(7)(a)(ii).
 
BY BY MUSIC - Three wide with cover for the majority.
 
REACHFORTHESTARS - Raced in restricted room in the early stages. Shifted in under pressure in the home straight.
 
TROJAN ANGEL - Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages. Laid in during the early stages of the home straight.
 
KOTA FLYER - Tightened for room and checked near the 700m. At a subsequent inquiry apprentice A. Jones the rider of WEARETENFORTYEIGHT pleaded guilty to a charge of carless riding under the terms of AR131(a) in that as the rider of that mare she permitted it to shift in when insufficiently clear of MACHU PICCHU resulting in that runner being taken in onto CHOCOLATE OREO which was tightened for room and forced inwards further resulting in KOTA FLYER being tightened for room and checked. Apprentice Jones’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 11 days to commence midnight 30th of May 2021 and to expire on Midnight 10th of June 2021. In determining penalty stewards determined the incident to be in the mid range.
