GENERAL

Stewards permitted the following riders to ride overweight- Race 4- Jky A Thompson +.5kg. Race 5- Jockey J.Stanley +.5kg.

Race 1: ROCK TRADE INDUSTRIES MAIDEN HANDICAP 860 M

Super Cyril – S Slow to begin. When approaching approximately the 100m point shifted out before being corrected by the rider mount resulting in THE SNUGGLER to the inside being tightened for room and inconveniencing TORQUE NOWOR NEVER momentarily. Stewards acting under the provision of AR131(a) reprimanded Jky J Huxtable.

MOROCCAN MOON- Slow to begin.

Dashes Of Colour - Start was delayed due to the mare being cast in the barriers. A pre-race vet examination was undertaken, and the horse was declared a late scratching at 1:04pm by Stewards acting on vets advice. Trainer Mr J. BANKS was advised that the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next start. Prior to the declaration of correct weight all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded less the following deductions to apply-

1st place- CRUISING BILL- 0 cents the win, 6 cents the place
2nd place- SUPER CYRIL- 5 cents
3rd place-THE SNUGGLER- 3 cents

Following the race Jockey A. Thompson was examined by QAS and cleared to continue riding for the meeting.

Torque Nowor Never- Inconvenienced foe a short distance at approximately the 100m point.

Cruising Bill – Laid in under pressure over the final stages of the event.

Gus The Bus – Held up for a run prior to the home turn and again in the home straight. Blundered in its action approaching the 200m.

Sizzlelover- Slow to begin.

The Snuggler- At approximately the 100m point was tightened for room and the rider having to take hold as a result of SUPER CYRIL shifting out.


Race 2: PUBLIC TRAINING & RESPONSE GROUP QTIS THREE-YEARS-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 860 M

Grovers Prediction – Laid out the majority.

Inca Rose- Acting under the provision of AR206 (2) Stewards fined Trainer T and M Sears the sum of $200 for failing to use gear (Blinkers) as approved by Stewards prior to acceptance time. Stewards permitted the Filly to race in the gear after hearing submissions from Trainer M Sears.

Isle Of Booty – Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure down the home straight. Stewards spoke to Trainer P. Webster regarding the performance of the horse. The stable was disappointed on the performance after missing the start.

Sunfyre – Slow to begin.

Window Tapper – Shortly after arriving on course Stable Representative Ms N Vuille advised Stewards that the horse had been injured in the float enroute to the course. Stewards ordered that a pre-race vet examination be undertaken. This examination revealed evidence of lameness to the off- side hock. The filly was subsequently declared late scratching at 12:34pm on vets’ advice. As the scratching was ordered prior to the allocated race time no deductions applied. Trainer A Briskey was advised that a Veterinary Certificate would be required prior to the next start.

Queen's Arms – Blundered approaching the top of the straight.

Miss Cantik – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

Braidwood Queen – Travelled wide throughout



Race 3: LVTC 22-23 PREMIERSHIP WINNING TRAINER - CONGATS MARK CURRIE MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100 M

Top Weekend – Raced keenly during the early stages of the event. Raced at the tail of the field for the majority.

Romeus – Jumped awkward and bumped The White Mouse shortly after the start then raced wide the majority

Granny's Reward – Trainer J Bruce advised Stewards that the horse would race in a more forward position today. Stewards noted his request. After the running of the event stewards were notified by a stable representative that mare had lost an off hind plate in running.

The White Mouse – Bumped at the start by another runner then raced wide with no cover

Outreach Lady – Began awkwardly.

Pressure And Time – From the 1000m over raced for some distance before being corrected by rider. Post race veterinary examination was ordered by stewards due to disappointing performance. This examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards acting under AR75((1)(b) Trainer T. Thomas was advised a warning would be placed on the horses’ racing manners.


Race 4: LVTC 22-23 PREMIERSHIP WINNING JOCKEY - CONGRATS JUSTIN HUXTABLE BM62 HANDICAP 1600 M

Sly Corner (Nz) – Began awkwardly when jumped inwards.

Private Banker – Trainer D Forster advised Stewards that her horse would be racing more forward position. Stewards noted her request. Tended to over race during the middle stages of the event. Raced wide early stages.

Boult – Trainer K.Monckton was fined the sum of $100 by Stewards acting under provision of AR227 for failing to comply with the overweight policy and not notifying Stewards that her rider Jockey A Thompson would be .5kg over weight

Race 5: LVTC 22-23 PREMIERSHIP WINNING APP JOCKEY - CONGRATS EMILY LANG CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1400 M

Everlast – Jumped awkwardly.

Anacheeva Lad – Raced wide.

Outlaw Josey Wales – Stewards spoke to Trainer K. Kirwin regarding the seemingly improved performance. Trainer stated the gelding had been working well and horse raced well at the track and once he drew a good barrier the stable expected a forward showing today. Stewards noted Mr Kirwan’s explanation.

Clearly George – Attempted to buck shortly after the start. Trainer V. Heading was advised the horse would be required participate in an official trial prior to next start. From the 600m point raced wide for the remainder of the race.

Rose Of Taormina – Stewards permitted Jky J Stanley to ride .5kg overweight. Raced wide.

Race 6: LOCKYER VALLEY PAINTING 0 - 58 HANDICAP 1100 M

Pocketrocket – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event.

Litermont – Raced keenly for a short distance after the start before being corrected by the rider.

Grey Noise- Appr Jky A Donald reported that she was injured in the face/mouth when her horse’s head came back making contact with her as the start was affected. Stewards ordered QAS staff to examine Ms Donald and as a result of that examination she was passed fit to continue.

Race 7: EDWARDS SADDLEWORLD TOOWOOMBA BM58 HANDICAP 1400 M

Lolarosie – After beginning well gained a leading position and then began to weaken from the 400m and raced at the rear of the field shortly after entering the home straight for the remainder. Stewards enquired into the riding tactics adopted by App Jockey R.Wedrat-Krozen following the running of the race. Ms Wedrat- Krozen advised that shortly after beginning she had difficulty in restraining the horse as the race progressed. She was advised the horse would jump and lead but did not expect to be so far in front. Stewards were advised of the horses racing pattern by Jky D Thorton and he rode it at its last start. He advised the horse needs to jump and lead and does pull hard. Stewards accepted the explanation of Jockey R.Wedrat-Krozen and Jky D Thornton. Stewards ordered a post -race veterinary inspection be undertaken. This examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. After viewing footage of the horse’s previous run and on the evidence provided today Stewards took no further action regarding the matter.

Herecum Da Drums- Was slow to begin. When passing the winning post while being restrained threw its head in the air.
