WilliamsonClerk of Scales – R Bellert Judge – Chris SeiderVeterinarian – Nathan HitchcockBookmakers Supervisor – StewardsStarter – D Slack Race 1: NEVILLE GORDON MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1000M SHUDAPUTARINGONIT – Slow to begin. JEPTOO – Declared a late scratching on vets advice. Deduction ordered at the declaration of correct weight of 22c on all successful win bets and 23c on all successful place bets. Trainer B Hudson was advised that a vet certificate is required prior to next start. Prior to the declaration of correct weight two protests were lodged. Jockey T Chambers rider of the second placegetter SHUDAPUTARINGONIT lodged an objection against the winner NOURISHING alleging interference near the 800m and again rounding the home. After taking evidence from both riders and viewing the footage, the steward could not be satisfied that any interference suffered was sufficient to alter the placing and the protest was therefore dismissed. Apprentice H English rider of the fifth placegetter HOPETOUN STREET lodged an objection against third placegetter MINTO’S LASS alleging interference approaching the 400m. After taking evidence from both riders and viewing the footage, the steward was satisfied that at this point of the event MINTO’S LASS did lay in despite the efforts of its rider and caused interference to HOPETOUN STREET. The steward was satisfied that the interference suffered was sufficient to reverse the half length margin and upheld this objection. Correct weight was declared on the following placings. 1st NOURISHING 2ND SHUDAPUTARINGONIT 3RD LUSHNESS 4TH HOPETOUN STREET 5TH MINTO’S LASS Race 2: SANDBAR CITRUS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M DANYSUS – Stood flat footed as the start was affected and lost significant ground.
