GENERAL
 
Stewards approved the following overweight allowances at today’s meeting:
 
Race 3 – UPLOADS – A. Allen +0.5kg (54.5)
Race 4 – BLUE TONE – M. Hellyer +1kg (55)
 
Race 1: RIGEL DISABILITY SUPPORT SERVICES Class 2 Handicap 1050 metres
 
DASHING GEE GEE – After being loaded into the barriers, kicked out behind on a number of occasions prior to the start being effected. As a result, underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a minor abrasion to the off-hind hock. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ALERT STATE – Began awkwardly.
 
PRONTO VINCENTO – Restrained at the start and shifted behind runners. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
Race 2: 2 HUNGRY JACK'S Class 1 Handicap 1900 metres
 
BLUE SWIMMER – Raced wide from the 800m.
 
JAKAT – Approaching the 200m, altered course to the inside to secure clear running.
 
PATTI WAGGIN – Began awkwardly. When the pace of the race eased near the 1400m, shifted wider on the track and progressed forward to lead the event from the 1100m. Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
LAMPKIN LANE (NZ) – Began awkwardly.
 
GENERAL WOLFFE – Slow to begin. Over raced in the middle stages. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice C. Waddell reported the horse raced flat throughout the race and failed to quicken from the 600m. Trainer R. Cameron advised Stewards that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 3: RAPIDLINE Maiden Handicap 1200 metres
 
WALLY'S REVENGE – After being taken wider by SHAMISTER passing the 500m, laid out for a short distance until the entrance to the home straight, before then racing greenly when placed under pressure in the early stages of the home straight. In light of today’s poor performance trainer R. Davidson was advised that the gelding would be stood down from racing at TAB venues until it establishes form at country venues.
 
BANKSTOWN (NZ) – Blundered on jumping.
 
MARLEEDOONE – On arrival at the barriers, was required to be resaddled.
 
MIKKI KIREINA – Raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event. Following the poor performance, trainer R. Cameron was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s competitiveness.
 
SHAMISTER – Jockey M. Hellyer reported that his mount was inclined to hang out on various stages of the event.
 
LADY IS AMPED – Slow to begin.
 
BRYDELICIOUS – Near the 1100m, momentarily raced in restricted room to the inside BANKSTOWN. Over raced in the early stages.
 
Race 4: HOMECORP Class 2 Handicap 1540 metres
 
QUIET MICHAEL (NZ) – Bumped shortly after the start. When asked to comment on the performance, Apprentice J. Williams advised that the horse was first up today after a break and in his opinion, would derive significant fitness benefit from todays run.
 
METAL ROCK – Began very awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide in the early stages.
 
SHALATIME – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 400m, raced in restricted room and had to be steadied between CAPITEEL and QUIET MICHAEL, which after improving into a narrow run to the inside of HARDLEY GREY, was taken in when that runner rolled in whilst weakening. Approaching the 200m, improved onto the heels of the tiring METAL ROCK and became momentarily held up behind that runner before shifting out to obtain clear running a short distance later.
 
CAPITEEL – Crowded for room at the start, shifted in and bumped QUIET MICHAEL.
 
ALL'S FAIR – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SHOTGUN DIVA – Jumped in at the start and crowded CAPITEEL.
 
HARDLEY GREY – Raced wide throughout,
 
Race 5: CAPITOL CONCRETE BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1540 metres
 
AVENUE OF STARS – Crowded for room at the start. Raced wide in the early stages before progressing to the lead approaching the 1100m.
 
LEICA BITA FUN – Began awkwardly. Jockey W. D’Avila was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.
 
PAGATO – Raced keen in the early stages. Made the home turn awkwardly.
 
BURGUNDY RULES – Raced wide throughout.
 
CLEARY ADONIS – Slow to begin.
 
Race 6: ELEVEN PLUS 1 SPORTS MARKETING BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1100 metres
 
ATLANTIC WAY – Raced wide throughout. Bumped near the 700m.
 
DIVINE OKAY – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.
 
CLOVER'S PRINCE – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
OLD TIMING MAN – Near the 700m, whilst over racing at heels, shifted out and bumped ATLANTIC WAY.
 
Race 7: MAGIC UNITED RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap1050 metres
 
JIMMY NEUTRON – Forced wider on the track near the 800m when HERO’S TRINKET shifted out and was obliged to race wide from that point onwards.
 
SPRITES – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
INCLUSION – Raced wide throughout.
 
GOLDEN SHAO – Jumped in the air at the start and lost ground.
 
MY DOG DIESEL – Forced wider on the track near the 800m when HERO’S TRINKET shifted out and was obliged to race wide from that point onwards.
 
HERO'S TRINKET – Trainer M. Currie was fined $100 pursuant to LR67(1) for failing to notify a rider within the prescribed time. After being crossed by DIAMOND LASS approaching the 800m, over raced at the heels of that runner for a short distance before shifting out to race outside the leader.
 
FAVOURITE THINGS – Raced wide throughout.
 
MAH PRECIOUS – Began awkwardly.
