Race 1: 90.9 SEAFM GOLD COAST'S #1 MUSIC STATION QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP  1150 M
 
ROTHAFELLA – Began awkwardly and was bumped shortly afterwards. Approaching the 900m commenced to race ungenerously and shifted out. Continued to race ungenerously and proved difficult to ride. Hung out from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer D. Bougoure was notified the gelding must perform to the satisfaction of the stewards in a trial prior to racing again.
 
STORM THE BEACH – Began awkwardly and was bumped shortly afterwards.
 
FRIEND IN NEED – Leaving the 900m steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels of LADY OF DOOM, which was carried out by ROTHAFELLA.
 
LADY OF DOOM – When racing keenly, inconvenienced and taken wider momentarily leaving the 900m.
 
Race 2: 90.9 SEA FM ALPHABUCKS MAIDEN HANDICAP  1050 M
 
PANGAEA – Began awkwardly. Momentarily became awkward at heels upon entrance to the home straight. Trainer A. Campton was reprimanded pursuant to AR206(3) for failing to declare the gelding will be racing in bar plates.
 
FLYING MILO – Jockey M. Cahill reported the gelding, which was having its first race start, hung out.  
 
DOMINANCE – As Jockey J. Adams was unable to make weight, he was replaced by Jockey J. Guthmann-Chester. J. Adams was fined $200 pursuant to AR190(3) for accepting a ride for which he was to be overweight. Jockey J. Guthmann-Chester reported the gelding laid out throughout the race.
 
WORTHY ESSGEE – Slow to begin, bumped shortly after and lost ground. Approaching the 700m improved onto heels and steadied momentarily.
 
ATHEISM – Bumped shortly after the start. Raced three wide throughout without cover.
 
Race 3: 92.5 TRIPLE M - GOOD TIMES & GREATEST HITS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP  1050 M
 
FLYING RUPERT – When questioned, Jockey J. Adams stated he was instructed to have the gelding in a comfortable position. He said after beginning well from the wider gate he looked to try and find a position behind the lead, however; was unable to do so, then was obliged to go forward and lead in a three wide position. He added the gelding did not finish the race off as consequence.
 
MAXIMUM ALTITUDE – Apprentice J. Franklin reported the gelding hung out throughout the event and near the 500m was steadied to avoid the heels of ZOUPERB (App E. Lang), which shifted in when not quite clear. Apprentice E. Lang was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Trainer R. Tyrell was notified a warning would be recording against the gelding for hanging out.
 
ZOUPERB – For a short distance near the 700m was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MOONAN JOYCE after being taken out by MAXIMUM ALTITUDE, which was hanging out.
 
NOBLE STYLE – Raced wide without cover from the 600m. When questioned on the performance, Jockey S. Galloway stated the filly had drawn wide, failed to show speed early and never travelled in the run until balancing up in the home straight. He said NOBLE STYLE may not have backed up from its previous start on the 28th of October 2023 at the Gold Coast. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities, and it was noted that the filly lost its near hind plate.
 
Race 4: 92.5 TRIPLE M BREKKIE WITH FLAN ALI & SPIDA BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP  1200 M
 
DASHING GEE GEE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DAMIANI – Raced wide without cover throughout. Apprentice J. Franklin was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip 6 times prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
ALMIGHTY RISING – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
ROMANOVA – Slow to begin.
 
BEST SONG – Over raced in the early stages.
 
Race 5: TRIPLE M'S $1000 MINUTE BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP  2000 M
 
ZOOMURUDI – Shifted in on jumping. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice J. Franklin reported the gelding raced flat and may have come to the end of its preparation. Trainer J. Patton advised he would give consideration to freshening the gelding up.
 
GLEAMING LEGEND (NZ) – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SADDLES – Began awkwardly and was hampered shortly afterwards. Jockey R. Hammersley reported he was given no specific instructions and in the small field was not expecting to be forward, however; when no other runners showed early speed and his mount was commencing to race keenly, he elected to go forward and lead the event.
 
SEERESS – Improved onto heels approaching the home turn and steadied. Apprentice S. Willis was fined $300 pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip 7 times prior to the 100m, 2 more times than permitted.
 
Race 6: LSTNR BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP  1540 M
 
APPLE CIDER – Began awkwardly.
 
SHE MINE – Held up for a run from the 500m until passing the 400m.
 
SIR LORD – Laid out around the home turn and carried ASTERN VILLA and SHEZA SNIPER wider.
 
ASTERN VILLA – Carried wider around the home turn. Jockey M. McDonald pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip 10 times prior to the 100m, 5 more than permitted. M. McDonald’s licence to ride in races was suspended from midnight Saturday 11 November 2023 to midnight 18 November 2023.
 
SHEZA SNIPER – Due to transport difficulties, permission was given for M. Cahill to replace R. Wiggins as the rider of the mare. Raced three wide without cover from the 1300m. Carried wider around the home turn.
 
SHOTGUN DIVA – Jockey W. D’Avila reported the mare travelled well in the run and when placed under pressure in the straight did not finish the race off. He added SHOTGUN DIVA may have been found wanting over the distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
