Stewards after hearing evidence from the relevant parties and viewing the stewards patrol footage, were of the opinion that passing the 250m READY TO TORQUE shifted out contacting I AM VOODOO, however a short distance later approaching the 100m I AM VOODOO shifted in contacting READY TO TORQUE. Stewards however bearing in mind the racing characteristics and contributing factors of both runners, as well as the head margin, could not be comfortably satisfied that had this incident not occurred I AM VOODOO would have finished ahead of READY TO TORQUE at the conclusion of the event and therefore the objection was dismissed, and correct weight was given on the judges semaphored numbers.
