App. J Woodhouse was fined the sum of $300 for failing to claim his full allowance in Race 1 on BRAND WORKS and in Race 8 on MORE THAN TEARS.
 
 
RACE 1: Highgrove Bathrooms Class 1 H’cap – 900m
1st: El Torito    2nd: Allena    3rd: Don’t Play Around    4th:  Sugar City
 
DON’T PLAY AROUND – Slow to begin.
 
SUGAR CITY – Approaching the 600m when over-racing, had to be restrained from the heels of ALLENA.
 
ULTRONEOUS - Inconvenienced when taken wider near the 600m.
 
BRAND WORKS – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
ALLENA – Over the final stages shifted out under pressure.
 
RACE 2: Highgrove Bathrooms QTIS 2yo H’cap – 900m
1st: Show No Shame    2nd: Ask Audrey    3rd: Affirmatively    4th:  Matryoshka
 
Trainer S Kendrick was fined the sum of $100 for failing to produce the Identification Card for SHOW NO SHAME.
 
Trainer L Davies was fined the sum of $100 for failing to produce the Identification Card for MATRYOSHKA.
 
SWISS LOVE - Slow to begin.  Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
SHOW NO SHAME - Slow to begin.
 
VALDEANIE – Near the 500m eased to avoid the heels of ASK AUDREY (B Newport) which shifted out when not fully clear.  Jockey B Newport was issued with a reprimand and advised to show far greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
 
LEND ME A TENNER – A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities at the time of examination.
 
RACE 3: Highgrove Bathrooms F & M Class 2 H’cap – 1400m
1st: Walwa    2nd: Lady no More    3rd: Social Vampire    4th:  Pegapus
 
PEGAPUS - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
RACE 4: AM Logistics C, G & E Class 2 H’cap – 1400m
1st: Red Scarlet    2nd: Bold and Groovy    3rd: Le Dude    4th:  Mutual Benefit
 
DAVOR – Over-raced during the early stages.
 
RACE 5: Casa Lusso Maiden H’cap – 1200m
1st: Bunny Bad Girl    2nd: Mena’s Choice    3rd: Sonic Bloom    4th:  Urubamba
 
Trainer J Morrisey advised that it was the intention to have CLEARFIELD race in a forward position today if circumstances allow.  Raced in a midfield position with cover.
 
WINNING SPIRIT – Severely hampered at the start when tightened for room.
 
MENA’S CHOICE – Eased after travelling a short distance when tightened for room by SOAR WITH EAGLES which was laying in despite the efforts of its rider.
 
BUNNY BAD GIRL – When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, stable representative Ms Dennett explained that the horse was slow to begin at its most recent start and for this reason today they applied winkers for the first time which in her view was beneficial to the performance.  She further added that BUNNY BAD GIRL jumped well and was able to lead and dictate the tempo which suited the filly as it had raced well in the past when able to lead.
 
RACE 6: Highgrove Bathrooms Class 4 H’cap – 1300m
1st: Dane Jester    2nd: Panch Kalyan    3rd: Jobiwood    4th:  Oltre Finito
 
LIGHT SHOWS – Slow to begin.  When questioned as to the disappointing performance, Jockey Anthony Allen explained that the mare was fractious in the barriers and slow to begin and never travelled comfortably during the race and was disappointing in the home straight.   A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have the thumps. 
 
DANE JESTER – Near the 350m after being brushed by BIAGIOTTI, shifted out.
 
PANCH KALYAN – Near the 350m hampered and taken wider on the track.
 
AMAJILL – Near the 350m hampered and taken wider on the track.
 
BIAGIOTTI – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the off fore leg.
 
Jockey L Rolls (JOBIWOOD) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) for permitting his mount to shift out near the 350m when not clear of BIAGIOTTI resulting in that horse being checked. Jockey Rolls was suspended from riding in races for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 17.12.16 and to expire midnight 26.12.16. 
 
 
RACE 7: Highgrove Bathrooms BenchMark 75 H’cap – 1100m
1st: Heartford    2nd: Primed for Destiny    3rd: Nakanai    4th:  Moss Harry
 
SHAPIN LADY – Checked near the 400m when tightened for room between TRALFAZ which shifted out and HEARTFORD which shifted in slightly.  Jockey M Palmer the rider of TRALFAZ was issued with a reprimand for this incident.  Stewards will interview Jockey N Thomas the rider of HEARTFORD regarding this incident.
 
MOSS HARRY – Near the 150m disappointed for a run between HEARTFORD and PRIMED FOR DESTINY which shifted ground and then had to alter course to the inside in order to improve.
 
PEARLY COURT – Jockey D Griffin reported at scale that it was his intention to race in a handy position but his mount was fractious in the barriers and was slow to begin which resulted in him settling at the rear of the field.
 
RACE 8: Sky Racing Class 1 H’cap – 1800m
1st: Larebil    2nd: Lightning Bell    3rd: Late Payment    4th:  Rosador
 
As App. J Woodhouse was unable to claim his full allowance, he was replaced on MORE THAN TEARS by App. J Guthmann-Chester.
 
Trainer M Leitch advised that it was her intention for ZARABEEL to be ridden with cover if possible today.  Ridden in a midfield position with cover.
 
EMPRESS ZHAO - Slow to begin.
 
LAREBIL - Slow to begin.  Raced ungenerously during the early and middle stages.
 
ROSADOR - Slow to begin.
 
WARNING SIGNAL - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
YOU BETTER NOT - Raced wide throughout.
 
MORE THAN TEARS - Raced wide throughout.
