GENERAL
As jockey B. Looker was indisposed due to personal reasons stewards permitted rider changes as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
RACE 1: Act For Kids Maiden H’Cap – 900m
1st: Infinite Lee 2nd: Hidden Storm 3rd: Miss Maneuver 4th: Stunning Show
MISS MARLO – Lunged forward as the start was effected making contact with the barrier and as a consequence lost ground. Near the 700m became awkward when placed in restricted room, made contact with the running rail and lost ground.
MUSGREY HILL – Slow to begin. Hung out approaching and rounding the home turn.
GOLD KRONER – Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped SAY NEIGH.
SAY NEIGH – Bumped at the start.
EVERY SINGLE ONE – Shifted in at the start making contact with SHOUTIN’.
SHOUTIN’ – Bumped at the start.
IPSO QUALO VIENIO – Near the 150m inconvenienced by STUNNING SHOW, which shifted out. Cast both fore plates in running.
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Good 3 retrospective.
RACE 2: Masta Fencer Ratings Bank 0-62 H’Cap – 900m
1st: Aimalac Bobby 2nd: Music Scene 3rd: Tin’s Pocket 4th: Argyll Bay
ZIZOU SUPREME – Fractious in the barriers. Slow to begin.
TIN’S POCKET – Began awkwardly. Hung out rounding the home turn and continued to do so in the home straight placing its rider at a disadvantage. Raced wide without cover throughout.
POSITIVE QUEST – Had difficulty securing clear running upon straightening.
ULTRONEOUS – Raced wide without cover throughout.
RACE 3: Insular Patios And Fencing Maiden Plate – 1800m
1st: Dubleo’s Lad 2nd: Bronte Babe 3rd: Balabina 4th: Bella’s Shadow
BRONTE BABE – Trainer B. Hull advised the mare would be ridden further back in the field with cover today if circumstances permit. The mare settled midfield with cover.
MO TUCKER – Slow to begin. Eased out of the event passing the 500m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have sustained a severed off hind tendon, consistent with being galloped on. Trainer B. Herne was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to the filly racing again.
YOUWONIT – Fractious in the barriers and began awkwardly.
ACHILTIBUIE – Had to be eased when tightened for room shortly after the start.
HIGHWEL – Near the 1300m improved onto the heels of MO TUCKER, shifted wider and then raced wider from that point onwards.
RACE 4: Surfside Bus Lines Class 1 H’Cap – 1200m
1st: Bunny Bad Girl 2nd: Medieval 3rd: Stormy Destiny 4th: Cellyse
STORMY DESTINY – Wore hoof pads today which were also worn at its last start. Public announcements were made to this affect. Hung in rounding the home turn and continued to do so in the home straight.
REAL NATURAL – Slow to begin.
CELLYSE – Hampered at the start.
BRAND WORKS – Shifted in under pressure passing the 200m.
MEDIEVAL – When questioned as to his riding rounding the home turn jockey M. McGuren stated that he was reluctant to improve to the inside of STORMY DESTINY at that point, as that gelding was shifting ground and he was also concerned that he may become held up behind the leader in the early stages of the home straight. He therefore elected to wait until the entrance to the home straight to shift out around the heels of STORMY DESTINY to secure clear running. Jockey McGuren added that the gelding failed to quicken as expected and despite having clear running for the entire home straight was unable to run the leader down. His explanation was noted.
RACE 5: Pool & Spa Megastore Class 2 H’Cap – 1800m
1st: Larebil 2nd: Tony Baloney 3rd: Rallier 4th: Ma Raison
MA RAISON – Underwent a veterinary examination prior to the start and was cleared to race. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
LAREBIL – Began awkwardly and overraced in the early and middle stages. Held up rounding the home turn.
TONY BALONEY – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.
MORE THAN A ROSE – Held up passing the 200m.
MCGILL – Laid in for the majority of the event. Raced wide throughout.
PASSION IN FLIGHT – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
RACE 6: David Klein Class 2 H’Cap – 1400m
1st: Social Vampire 2nd: Mutual Benefit 3rd: Broqualo 4th: Halls Creek
TIME’S UP – Slow to begin. Passing the 800m commenced to hang out, shifted wider on the track and continued to hang out for the remainder of the event.
MUTUAL BENEFIT – Began awkwardly and bumped HALLS CREEK.
HALLS CREEK – Bumped at the start.
DAVOR – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
GUMDALE BOY – Raced wide without cover throughout.
RACE 7: Act For Kids QTIS 3Y0 H’Cap – 1200m
1st: Mishani Sleuth 2nd: French Jet 3rd: Peking Road 4th: Captain’s Pick
CLEARFIELD – Began awkwardly.
DUNN GREAT – Began awkwardly.
GAME OF DREAMS – Began awkwardly.
LITTLE LILLY – Slow to begin.
RACE 8: Sky Racing Class 4 H’Cap – 1200m

EUPHORBIA – Began awkwardly.
POWERFUL SAGA – Overraced in the early stages and as a consequence was unable to obtain cover. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
MINIVER – Cast a near fore plate in running.
