DONNT STUTTER Trainer advised change of tactics to be ridden handy with cover should circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly. Bumped at the start.. Stewards questioned App. C Bayliss regarding his tactics in the middle stages of the event.. App. Bayliss stated that connections elected to vary the tactics today after the filly had been ridden vigorously in the early stages to obtain a forward position at its previous starts and had failed to finish off the race as expected.. App. Bayliss added that today he was able to settle the filly where comfortable in a mid-field position with cover.. Passing the 600m he was reluctant to improve to the inside of GREYT INTENTIONS and trail WICKED EXPRESS into the race as he was concerned that he would then be held up rounding the home turn.. Therefore, he elected to shift wider on the track to ensure that he had clear running from the 400m onwards.. App. Bayliss further added that todayys tactics suited the filly as it was able to finish the race off well.. Whilst noting the explanation, Stewards advised App. Bayliss that on this occasion he may have been better suited trailing WICKED EXPRESS into the race and riding the filly for luck..

DITZI DARCI Connections advised change of tactics that with the addition of blinkers, to be ridden forward from the wide gate should circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly.. Raced wide without cover throughout.

When that runner failed to quicken as expected, he was held up rounding the home turn and was then obliged to shift out upon straightening.. Jockey Galloway further added that the colt, which was having its first start today, was inclined to race greenly in the home straight but nonetheless finished the race off well and in his opinion would appreciate a step-up in distance.
