Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 3.48 p.m.:- 5 cents in the dollar for the win #8 (SURE DEAL)9 cents in the dollar for place of winner #8 (SURE DEAL)4 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #7 (KIMMS TARZAN) 5 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #1 (EVERY SINGLE ONE) SPs were not subject Stewards considered an objection lodged by R. Plumb the rider of KIMMS TARZAN which finished second against App R. Goldsbury (SURE DEAL) being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference in the home straight. After viewing the official patrol footage and taking evidence from all parties stewards found that whilst SURE DEAL did shift ground outwards over the concluding stages forcing KIMMS TARZAN slightly wider on the track, they were not of the view that any inconvenience suffered to KIMMS TARZAN at this point of the race was sufficient enough to warrant a reversal of placings and therefore correct weight was declared on the numbers semaphored. NAVUA MIST Laid in under pressure from the 200m. Race 8: Canary Bar 21 Oct Class 5 HHCap 1300m Prior to the running of Race 7 stewards considered an application from trainer M. Costa to scratch CHARLIE CAT due to there being, in his opinion, no suitable replacement rider available to replace jockey S. Galloway who was injured prior to Race 6.. Mr Costa advised that CHARLIE CAT has a history of being fractious pre-race and when in the barriers.. Mr Costa therefore advised that it in his opinion it would be necessary for a rider to have prior experience in riding CHARLIE CAT in the interest of horse and rider welfare..
