Stewards were of the view that whilst BRINKMANSHIP did commence to hang out badly from the home turn and for the remainder of the home straight slightly impeding RAINS APLENTY on two separate occasions, they were not satisfied bearing in mind the neck margin at the finish, that the interference was sufficient to warrant an alteration to the placings and therefore the protest was dismissed. Trainer H Page was advised that a warning would be placed against BRICKMANSHIPPs racing manners on the home turn and in the straight.
