TWICE ALONE - Slow into stride.
 
SKYREIGNS - Slow into stride.
 
KASTANOS - Approaching the first turn commenced to over-race and shifted out abruptly.
 
BLUE MONTE - Racing to the first turn commenced to over-race badly and was allowed to stride forward to the lead.
 
RACE 2: Diesel Leaders C,G&E Maiden HHcap 1200m

STRAIGHT HOME - Slow to begin.
 
LORD OF THE DREAMZ - Bucked for a short distance after the start.. Raced 4 wide without cover throughout. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed against the geldinggs racing manners.
 
BALTIC PRINCE - Steadied when crowded shortly after the start.. Near the 700m steadied when crowded.
 
DUKE OF FREDERICK Hampered near the 900m. Near the 700M over-raced badly and had to be checked severely.
 
CADEYRN Near the 900m checked severely.
 
GRANOLA STATE - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
SONIC BLOOM - It was reported that the gelding cast its off hind plate in running.
 
Jockey M McGuren (GRANOLA STATE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) for permitting his mount to shift in near the 900m resulting in it taking DUKE OF FREDERICK in, which in turn crowded the running of CADEYRN, which had to be severely checked and shift out across the heels of DUKE OF FREDERICK.. Stewards were of the view that the careless riding displayed was in the mid-range, however, due to his exceptional record and guilty plea, Jockey McGurenns licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 21/10/17 and to expire midnight 31/10/17.
 
RACE 3: Diesel Leaders F&M Maiden HHcap
1200m
1st: Miss Amberr   2nd: Pixie Holloww   3rd: Brilee Rosee   4th:: Calisto
 
DITZY DARCI - Began awkwardly.
 
SHE WENT WISH - Near the 900m stumbled, then commenced to over-race and near the 800m checked from heels.

1st: Sweet Orphann   2nd: Masondalee   3rd: The Husslerr   4th:: Blue Seattle
 
WHITWORTH - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.. When commencing to weaken on straightening was bumped heavily.
 
THE HUSSLER - Inconvenienced slightly on straightening.
 
DANCING ANGEL Tailed out and was eased down.. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.. Trainer N Hocking was advised that the performance was considered unacceptable and the horse would not be permitted to be nominated for provisional A meetings and above.
 
RACE 5: Diesel Leaders Class 3 HHcap 1400m
1st: Raggle Varrr   2nd: Ritchfordd   3rd: Spirit of Hussonn   4th:: Lefkas Island
 
LEFKAS ISLAND - Dipped on jumping.
 
DAVOR - Reared as the gates were released.
 
RAGGLE VARR - After the 900m had to be restrained from heels.
 
RACE 6: Diesel Leaders Class 1 HHcap 1300m
1st: Hangg   2nd: Jinx NN Drinxx   3rd: Vanilla Jewell   4th:: Windcatcher
 
AMERIDON Connections advised that the colt would be ridden back today. Threw its head in the air on jumping, raced rearward.

RACE 7: Diesel Leaders Class 4 HHcap 900m
1st: Upstartt   2nd: Brat Attackk   3rd: Real Cutee   4th:: Round Mountain Gem
 
AMBER JEWEL - Slow into stride and then crowded.. Hung out on the home turn.
 
DELIRIUM - Hung out badly on the home turn.. Trainer C Munce advised that he would discuss with the connections whether he continued with the marees preparation.. He was nevertheless, advised that a warning would be placed on its racing manners.
 
HI SEXY - Carried wider on the home turn.
 
ROUND MOUNTAIN GEM - Carried wider on the home turn.
 
After the running of this race, due to the heavy rain, the track was downgraded to a Soft 6.
 
RACE 8: Coastal Tipper Hire Class 2 HHcap
1800m
1st: Zoff of the Worldd   2nd: Shees a Youeffohh   3rd: Geometristt   4th:: Astronomic
 
STELLAR JEWEL - Began awkwardly, striking its gate and almost dislodged its rider.. When over-racing near the 1400m, checked from heels.. A post-race veterinary examination reported a laceration to the right hind coronet.
 
TIARNAN - Began awkwardly making contact with the inside barrier partition, became unbalanced and lost ground.. Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
ASTRONOMIC - Trapped wide during the early stages before being allowed to stride forward to obtain the lead passing the 1100m.. Bumped shortly after the start..
 
LASER SIGHT - Bumped shortly after the start.. Near the 300m bumped heavily and dipped.
 
SHEES A YOUEFFOH - Raced wide during the early stages.
 
HEAT SHIELD - Raced 3 wide during the early stages and was then unable to obtain cover and remained there for the rest of the race.
 
HELL OF A TIME - Near the 1400m checked from heels.
 
ASK THE PRICE - During the middle stages when the pace steadied, had to be restrained from heels.
 
ZOFF OF THE WORLD - During the middle stages, had a tendency to get its head up while over-racing.
