RACE 1: Aquis Park Ladies Day Dome Package QTIS 2YO Handicap – 900m
 
HEADBELLS – Began very awkwardly and lost ground.
 
BALL TAMPERER – After travelling a short distance had to be eased to avoid the heels of POCKET PISTOL, which shifted in when not quite clear. Inclined to race greenly during the race and hung out rounding the home turn.
 
CHEERS SWEETIE – Near the 150m had to be steadied when tightened for room between BALL TAMPERER and WINNINGTON, which shifted out under pressure. Jockey S. Bogenhuber (WINNINGTON) was cautioned and advised to make a greater effort to straighten her mounts in future.
 
MISHANI SPIRIT – When returning to scale following the race the filly shied and dislodged its rider N. Tomizawa. Jockey Tomizawa was not injured and able to weigh in.
 
WINNINGTON - When returning to scale following the race the gelding shied and dislodged its rider S. Bogenhuber. Jockey Bogenhuber was not injured and able to weigh in.
 
 
RACE 2: Goldengrove Building Group Maiden Handicap – 900m
 
Subject to further submissions trainer L. Gough was fined $100 for the late declaration of R. Plumb as the rider of BELLE’S PLUCK.
 
Subject to further submissions trainer M. Waddington was fined $100 for the late declaration of M. Powell as the rider of SWIFTLY MANGO.
 
HEAVENS STAR – Began awkwardly. Shortly after the start was severely checked off the heels of CONQUER THE STARS when that horse commenced to buck.
 
GOLD PRODUCER – Restrained at the start from a wide position to gain a position closer to the rail. Shifted out and bumped another runner near the 300m.
 
CONQUER THE STARS – After travelling a short distance bucked and dislodged its rider N. Day. Trainer C. Cousins was advised the gelding must trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again.
 
IADOREYOU – Unable to muster any early speed and trailed the field until the home straight. Over the final stages had to alter course to the inside of the heels of TEMERITY. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant findings.
 
TOOGOOLAWAH TRUMP – Soon after straightening was hampered when bumped by GOLD PRODUCER. Jockey M. McGuren (GOLD PRODUCER) was advised to show greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
 
BELLE’S PLUCK – Over the final stages shifted out abruptly which resulted in its rider not being able to ride the horse out in his normal manner.
 
LOVE YA LAD – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
SWIFTLY MANGO – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
 
RACE 3: Favero Property Corp BenchMark 80 Handicap – 1100m
 
I AM THE GENERAL – After passing the 1000m was steadied when tightened for room between BIG TREE and HYDRAZINE, which shifted out slightly.
 
HYDRAZINE – Near the 900m was steadied when tightened for room between I AM THE GENERAL and KNIGHT TEMPLAR, which when pulling hard shifted out slightly.
 
KNIGHT TEMPLAR – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Hung out rounding the home turn and proved difficult to ride.
 
LA DOLCE VITA – Hung out under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
RACE 4: Goldengrove Homes Maiden Handicap – 1300m
 
MYSTAGONAL – Stood flatfooted and missed the start by a considerable distance and trailed the field throughout. Trainer N.  McCall was advised that the filly must compete in an official barrier trial prior to racing again.
 
ANIMAL SPIRITS – Slow to begin.
ZABRING – Bumped at the start.
 
BUFFALO GIRL – Began very awkwardly and shifted out.
 
CLAIRVUE SPIRIT – Checked when tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
GABE THE BABE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
Jockey N. Day (EXPERT REPLY) was fined $200 for returning to scale in excess of half a kilo overweight.
 
RACE 5: Inspired Living By Goldengrove BenchMark 65 Handicap – 1400m
 
HOUSE OF DRAMA – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding his riding in the early part of the home straight jockey G. Colless explained that soon after straightening he committed to the outside of MY COUSIN JACKIE when there did not appear to be clear running towards the inside. He added that he was impeded at the heels of MY COUSIN JACKIE when that runner shifted ground approaching the 100m. He further added that whilst that had cost him some ground his mount finished the race off fairly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant findings.
 
ON DEMAND – Pulled hard in the early stages. Restrained from the heels of DYNASTIC passing the 800m.
 
DYNASTIC – Unable to secure clear running approaching and rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight.
 
ROLLING ROMAN – Hampered near the 100m when tightened for room between SAME OLD and HOUSE OF DRAMA, which was taken out by MY COUSIN JACKIE.
 
SAME OLD – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
RACE 6: Goldengrove Projects BenchMark 62 Handicap – 1800m
 
SKYTASTIC – Slow to begin.
 
VELITES – Near the 1400m when overracing had to be restrained from the heels of TWILIGHTER.
 
TWILIGHTER – Hampered and taken wider near the 1400m.
 
GENERAL ASSAULT – Checked when tightened for room near the 1400m. Then commenced to overrace and shifted three wide and was ridden forward to a one off position behind the leaders near the 900m. At a subsequent inquiry into the reasons why GENERAL ASSAULT was checked, it was established that LILAKAI was taken in by SOLARCRAFT, which after being initially tightened by KENDALL’S DREAM, shifted in and away from that runner. Whilst stewards could not attribute this incident to the carelessness of any one rider, they nonetheless advised jockey C. Franklin (SOLARCRAFT) to at all times attempt to give his fellow riders sufficient room in similar circumstances.
 
RACE 7: Inspired Living Finance Class 3 Handicap – 1200m
 
WINDS OF CHANGE – Slow to begin.
 
SPANKS – Blundered badly at the start and lost ground. Approaching the 100m had to ease when tightened for room between CYMBALISM and SILENT STATUE, which shifted in slightly. Raced three wide throughout. App S. Lacy reported at scale that her mount did not feel comfortable in its action in the home straight.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare had sustained lacerations to both sides of the near fore heel.
 
CYMBALISM – Raced in restricted room for some distance approaching and passing the 150m.
 
SILENT STATUE - Cast a near fore and off hind plate.
 
 
RACE 8: Goldengrove Class 1 Handicap – 1200m
 
BLOOMIN’ ARRY – Jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
 
MISS HONEYFLOW – A little slow to begin and then severely hampered at the start when tightened for room.
 
BOLD WARRIOR – Near the 700m bumped STARCASTER.
 
STARCASTER – Bumped by BOLD WARRIOR near the 700m.
 
RAKHISH – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting some tenderness in the near fore foot.
