Race 1 – John Morrisey GCTC Hall Of Fame BenchMark 85 Handicap – 2200m
 
JAKE’S HILL – Jumped away awkwardly resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced.
 
NEVER BEEN ANOTHER – Slow into stride after beginning awkwardly.
 
OUTRAGED – Raced wide from the 600m.
 
BOOM BOOM EPIC – Momentarily held up making the turn into the straight.
 
MAKDANIFE – When questioned regarding the riding tactics Jockey M. Cahill stated that the gelding had disappointed and may have been unsuited by the slow tempo in the race and was left flatfooted when the field sprinted from the 600m. Thereafter MAKDANIFE failed to run on when placed under pressure. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stable foreman P. Shailer reported at this stage the stable will review the current campaign of the gelding and if anything comes to light in the coming days will advise Stewards accordingly.
 
 
Race 2 – Cyril Small GCTC Hall Of Fame QTIS 3YO Handicap – 1400m
 
EPICURIOUS – Slow to begin. Carried wider making the turn into the straight when SPIRITUAL ROSE shifted outwards.
ASTRO BOY TOY – Jumped away awkwardly and in doing so made contact with NAVAGIO BEACH.
 
NAVAGIO BEACH – Bumped on jumping.
 
SPIRITUAL ROSE – Approaching the 900m commenced to race keenly and had to be eased off the heels of SPLENDARAMA.
 
SCATHING – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 3 - In Remembrance Of William & Elsie Morgan Open Handicap – 1800m
 
AQUA VITE - Trainer S. Morrisey advised the gelding would be ridden forward today if circumstances permit. The gelding was ridden accordingly.
 
CHIVADAHLII – Slow to begin.
 
MORENDI – Raced keenly in the early stages. Brushed VAUCLUSE BAY over the concluding stages.
 
VAUCLUSE BAY – Raced three wide from the 600m. Brushed MORENDI over the concluding stages. Inclined to lay in in the straight.
 
 
Race 4 – Jaymac Racing Supports QBI Class 6 Handicap – 900m
 
Co-Trainer W. Hulbert was fined $200 for the late declaration of R. Fradd as the rider of WIRNPA.
 
Correct weight was delayed when Jockey T. Harrison requested to view the film as she believed her mount THE REAL BOSS had been disadvantaged at the start. After taking evidence from Jockey T. Harrison, Starter S. Andrews and viewing the films Stewards were of the opinion that as the start was effected THE REAL BOSS lunged forward striking the front of its barrier, as a result its barrier opened marginally quicker however THE REAL BOSS did not gain any advantage. Stewards were also of the opinion that THE REAL BOSS was not denied a fair start and therefore was declared a runner.
 
WIRNPA – Lost ground when severely crowded on jumping between THE REAL BOSS, which jumped inwards and TRUCULENT, which was carried outwards slightly by SISTER KITTY MAC and BOOM CHICKA BOOM.
 
STELLAR POWER – Passing the 600m got its head up when racing keenly and was taken out across the heels of MOONAN JOYCE, which shifted in. Jockey S. Galloway (MOONAN JOYCE) was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground.
 
TRUCULENT – Lost ground shortly after the start when crowded between WIRNPA and SISTER KITTY MAC, which had been carried outwards by BOOM CHICKA BOOM.
 
ARROW EXPRESS – Raced four wide throughout.
 
 
Race 5 – Lucky Star Tavern NMW Handicap – 1100m
 
Prior to correct weight being declared Jockey R. Wiggins the rider of the third placegetter BOLD XAVII requested to view the patrol films to ascertain whether he had grounds to lodge an objection.  After viewing the films, Jockey Wiggins advised that he did not wish to proceed.
 
DREAM MASTER – Blundered on jumping, attempted to buck shortly after the start and in doing so shifted in abruptly dislodging App J. Murphy. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer T. Edmonds was advised that the gelding must perform satisfactorily in two official trials prior to racing again. App J. Murphy was attended to on course by QAS officers and transported to Pindarra Private Hospital and subsequently replaced on his remaining rides as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
ALASKA – Bumped on jumping.
 
SPIRIT’S PRIDE – Bumped on jumping.
 
ALL PLUCK – Slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
BOLD XAVVI – Near the 800m had to be eased from the heels of SNIPSTREAM, which shifted in. App N. Keal (SNIPSTREAM) was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground.
 
BARNSLEY – Raced wide throughout.
 
CHILL THE BEER – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 6 – Cooper Reeves Class 3 Plate – 1200m
 
As Jockey T. Allan was riding at another venue Stewards permitted T. Harrison to be substituted as the rider of PARIS CRYSTAL.
 
PARIS CRYSTAL – Slow to begin.
 
HOLLABACK GIRL – Near the 800m when racing keenly was placed in restricted room when MALAHAT shifted in.  App N. Keal was reprimanded for this incident.
 
SAXTON ROCK – Near the 700m had to be eased when racing in restricted room to the inside of HOLLABACK GIRL, which was racing tight to the inside of MALAHAT. Held up between the 450m and 350m.
 
VERANES – Held up and unable to improve making the turn into the straight.
 
MALAHAT – Blundered near the 350m.
 
 
Race 7 – Business Insurance Group BenchMark 70 Handicap – 1800m
 
AKAGE – Slow to begin. Carried wider making the turn into the straight. Raced four wide throughout.
 
HOLBROOK – Held up when awkwardly placed when racing in restricted room between the 500m and the 250m.
 
POLEMIC – Laid outwards under pressure over the final 200m.
 
GALTERO – Raced three wide throughout.
 
SHE GOES POP – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
NORDIC SHOW – Raced three wide with cover throughout.
 
COURAGEOUS ROCK – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 8 – Coolphase Community NMW Handicap – 1400m
 
Stewards accepted the reasons for Jockey R. Maloney being unable to fulfil his riding engagement on ALASKAN SUN and permitted R. Fradd to be substituted as the rider.
 
TARDIS – Slow to begin.
 
LUCAP – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
ALASKAN SUN – Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
SKY LAKE – A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare had sustained a small laceration to the off hind pastern.
 
Jockey S. Cormack (SKY LAKE) pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR131(b) in that he failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race, which in the opinion of Stewards cost his mount second placing. Jockey Cormack was subsequently fined $2,500.00.
 
 
Race 9 – QBI Ross Maclean Fellowship In MND Open Handicap – 1200m
 
Trainer M. Currie was fined $200 for presenting SWORD OF JUSTICE without winkers.
 
RIVER RACER – Slow to begin.
 
TISANI MAGIC – Slow to begin.
 
DRACHENFELS – Slow to begin. Unable to secure clear running from the 350m until the concluding stages.
 
SABKHAT – Shortly after the start was carried inwards by FREDDIE FOX TROT. App B. Nothdurft (FREDDIE FOX TROT) was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground. Raced four wide throughout.
 
FREDDIE FOX TROT – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
