GENERAL
 
As jockey J Bayliss was unable to ride at today’s meeting due to suspension, he was replaced as per Stewards Race-day Summary.
 
Race 1: TAB LIVE SKY RACING VISION Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 3 Handicap 1200 metres
 
JUST FAVULOUS – Became fractious in race day stalls and slipped over. A veterinary examination identified lacerations to both hind legs and the gelding to be lame in near hind leg and as such was declared a late scratching at 12:10pm. Trainer F Adams was advised that he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again.
 
GREAT KEPPELL – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
BLUEANT – Over raced in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained lacerations to its near hind leg which would be consistent with it being galloped on.
 
ALPENDURADA – Shortly after the start was bumped by BETTER THAN GROOVY which shifted in, causing that runner to become awkwardly placed on the heels of GREAT KEPPEL.
 
BETTER THAN GROOVY – Slow to begin. Shifted in shortly after the start bumping ALPENDURADA. Rider L Dittman (BETTER THAN GROOVY) was advised to exercise more care similar circumstances.
 
BOLD HUNTER - Over raced in the early stages.
 
Following Race 1 the track was upgraded to a Good 3.
 
Race 2: CELLARBRATIONS Maiden Handicap 1100 metres
 
BOOM EXPRESS – Over raced in the middle stages.
 
BATANGAS ENTRY – Disappointed for a run near the 300m and had to be steadied when crowded for room before shifting out to secure clear running.
 
OUR FRAULEIN – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight. Near the 300m, improved onto the heels of SHE'S AN ARCHER before shifting in to secure clear running and crowded BATANGAS ENTRY. Rider L Cassidy (OUR FRAULEIN) was advised to show greater care similar circumstances.

SHE'S AN ARCHER – Raced greenly when crowded for room approaching the 100m.
 
SHAMATON – Over raced in the early stages. Held up for clear running near the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained lacerations to its near hind leg which would be consistent with it being galloped on.
 
SYDNEY ANGUS – Began awkwardly. Near the 1000m, improved onto the heels of SHAMATON having to be steadied and got its head up. Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
Race 3: ARISTOCRAT Class 6 Handicap 1100 metres
 
BOLD STYLE – Began awkwardly, shifting in and bumped GOODONYA SONJA. Raced three wide without cover for the majority.
 
GOODONYA SONJA – Bumped shortly after the start.
 
MALAHIDE – Steadied when crowded for room near the 900m.
 
MOGADOR – Near the 900m, raced ungenerously when crowded for room, before shifting in and crowding MALAHIDE. Held up in the early stages of the home straight until shifting in near the 200m to secure clear running.
 
SHADOW OF TIME - After being fractious in the barriers raced ungenerously for some distance throwing its head in the air. Rider T Harrison reported that in her opinion the gelding resented the bit. Trainer S Barr advised that following today’s performance he would experiment with gear changes prior to its next start.
 
Race 4: PERONI NASTRO AZZURRO Maiden Handicap 1400 metres
 
TRUMPED UP – Slow to begin. Leaving the 300m, improved onto the heels of BARBICAN and blundered.

SACRED SUITE – Rider R Maloney was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m, which is two more than permitted.
 
HOSTWIN GENERATION – Commenced to hang in from the 1100m, shifted in placing runners to its inside in restricted room near the 1050m. Raced three wide without cover for the majority.
 
MACIPENKO – Began awkwardly. Unable to secure clear running from the 300m until leaving the 200m.
 
WARP SPEED – Began awkwardly. Raced in restricted room near the 1050m.
 
BARBICAN – Raced wide throughout.
 
GOMATHI – Slow to begin. Compounded over the concluding stages and tailed off. Trainer D Trindall was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s poor performance.
 
KID MAC – Raced in restricted room near the 1050m.
 
THINKLIKELIGHTNING - Raced in restricted room near the 1050m.
 
Race 5: IGT AUSTRALIA QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1400 metres
 
BECKFORD – Held up for clear running from the 400m until the 300m.
 
COURT ROCKING – Shifted out and bumped MONEY SHOT at the start.
 
INTENSE – Over raced in the early stages. Crowded for room near the 1000m and had to be steadied. Held up rounding the home turn.
 
MENSCHKEIT – Jumped inwards and bumped SOUL DANCER at the start.
 
MONEY SHOT – Slow to begin. Bumped shortly after the start. Near the 400m was steadied when racing in restricted room.
 
PERNELL – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
REBEL CAUSE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
SIZZLING RIVER – Raced wide for the majority. Momentarily steadied near the 100m when crowded for room by PERNELL which shifted in.  
 
NASHWAH – Improved on to the heels of DEEP SCEIVA and had to be steadied over the concluding stages.
 
SOUL DANCER – Bumped between runners at the start. Over raced near the 1000m and shifted in crowding the runners to its inside. Raced wide for the majority.
 
URUS – Shifted out and bumped SOUL DANCER at the start. Crowded for room near the 1000m.
 
Race 6: KENO BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1300 metres
 
LYRICAL PRINCE – Shifted out when over racing near the 1000m and hampered TRENGGANU.
 
FORTIFICATION – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
CITY SMART – Slow to begin.
 
TRENGGANU – Hampered when over racing near the 1000m by LYRICAL PRINCE which shifted in.
 
Race 7: XXXX DRY Fillies and Mares Class 3 Handicap 1200 metres
 
UNGUARDED – Slow to begin. Improved onto heels near the 300m and had to be restrained. Had difficulties securing clear running in the home straight.
 
DOLLY SPARTAN – Fractious in the barriers and as a result was slow to begin. Commenced to over race near the 1000m and shifted out.
 
OUR SWAN LAKE - A post-race veterinary examination of the mare identified the presence of blood in both nostrils. As it was the second occasion on which it had bled, the mare would be now ineligible to start in any race under AR79(6).
 
FLIRTY DEB - Rider T Wolfgram was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using his whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m, which is two more than permitted.
 
HEAR OF AUSTRALIA – Raced three wide without cover for the majority. Momentarily forced wider near the 1000m by DOLLY SPARTON which shifted out when over racing.
 
Race 8: TAB VENUE MODE BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1800 metres
 
IMPAVIDO – Began awkwardly.
 
MISSED THE ALARM - Began awkwardly.
 
SAYL – Over raced in the early stages and had to be restrained from heels.
 
TAKEITTOTHELIMIT – Slow to begin.
 
WILLIAM – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
HOLBROOK – Hung out rounding the home turn. Raced in restricted room near the 400m and had to be restrained.
