GENERAL
 
Stewards accepted the explanation tendered by trainer B. Healy in regards to the late scratching of LETS TORQUE A DEEL at 7:58am. 
 
RACE 1: DALY PROJECT MANAGEMENT QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN PLATE 900 METRES
 
COME CLEAN – Began awkwardly.
 
BETTER OFF – Slow to begin. Raced three-wide with cover for the majority of the race.
 
AIR FORCE ACE – Raced three-wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
SECRETS GALORE – Raced greenly in the early and middle stages.
 
MISHANI ENCHANTED – Laid out approaching the winning post having to be corrected.
 
ATTA GAL – Lost an off fore plate in running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had sustained an abrasion to its near fore leg.
 
RACE 2: BELLA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT MAIDEN HANDICAP 1800 METRES
 
MULRONEY – Trainer M. Brosnan was fined $100 under the provisions of LR30(2) for failing to present MULRONEY on course at least 1.5 hours before the time appointed for the start of the race.
 
TORQUE TO ROMAN – Slow to begin.
 
MA DUSHKA – Slow to begin. Finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer W. King was advised that the gelding’s nomination would be refused at metropolitan and provincial TAB meetings until its form improves by way of country meetings.  
 
DAY TO FAVOUR – Raced ungenerously for a short distance leaving the 1600 metres.
 
MONSTER OF POWER – Rider A. Spinks pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 132(5) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner, that being on 18 occasions. Rider A. Spinks’ license to ride in races was suspended for a period of ten (10) days to commence at midnight on 8 November 2020 and to expire at midnight on 18 November 2020. In considering penalty, Stewards took into account a recent breach of the same rule and that the gelding had placed 1st in the race. 
 
RACE 3: DALY PROJECT MANAGEMENT MAIDEN PLATE 1100 METRES
 
SUBAYAI – Began awkwardly.
 
FIOURUKI – Slow to begin. Laid in approaching the 300 metres. Shifted out leaving the 300 metres, forcing PAPILIO wider.
 
PAPILIO – Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race and was forced wider leaving the 300 metres.
 
CORBIN – Raced greenly for a short distance after the start and shifted in when crowded for room by THREEPOINT MISSILE, which also shifted in, which placed MINT STRIP in restricted room for a short distance near the 1000 metres.
 
MINT STRIP – Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 1000 metres. Overraced in the middle stages.
 
THREEPOINT MISSILE – Shifted in near the 1000 metres, crowding CORBIN. Rider A. Chau was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground.
 
RACE 4: MULTIFIX TILING OPEN HANDICAP 1400 METRES
 
INVINCIBLE AL – Overraced in the middle and early stages and refused to settle, resulting in the gelding opening up a sizeable lead in the middle stages.
 
Following the running of this event rider T. Wolfgram was examined by the Queensland Ambulance Services and was cleared to continue riding.
 
Following the running of this event the remainder of the meeting was called off following a track inspection which deemed the track unsuitable for racing due to the inclement weather of heavy thunderstorms and lightning resulting in 25mls of rain.
