FOLLOW UP - AQUIS PARK GOLD COAST TURF CLUB - 3 NOVEMBER 2020
 
RACE 6: DIAMONDS BROADBEACH, JEWELLERY AUCTIONS UNLIMITED BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1100 METRES
 
EURO HUSTLER - Trainer A. Plumb advised Stewards that the gelding was found to have a virus post-race and will be treated accordingly.
 
RACE 1: KALEB MCINTOSH BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 900 METRES
 
The running of this race was delayed when REMEMBER MARY dislodged its rider, M. Potgieter, soon after leaving the saddling enclosure, resulting in rider M. Potgieter requiring medical attention. After cantering a short distance, the mare was caught and returned to the saddling enclosure. Due to no ambulance being available at the time, all runners were returned to the saddling enclosure and underwent a veterinary examination prior to the race and were cleared to start at the revised time of 12:43pm. Due to technical issues with the TAB, all remaining races were put back one race with the last race scheduled to commence at 5:18pm. M Potgieter was advised he would require a medical clearance before resuming race riding.
 
REMEMBER MARY was subsequently declared a late scratching at 12:39pm by order of Stewards due to no suitable replacement rider being available. All bets placed on REMEMBER MARY to be refunded in full with the following deductions to apply for successful bets prior to 12:39pm:
 
8 cents in the win for 1st (SOPHIELLA)
11 cents in the place for 1st (SOPHIELLA)  
11 cents in the place for 2nd (PATCHES)  
 
SUKWHINDER – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
PATCHES – Raced three-wide for the majority of the race without cover.
 
RACE 2: NET HOSTER BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY MAIDEN HANDICAP
1800 METRES
 
HUDOO VUDOO – Slow to begin.
 
PRIDE OF JEZEBEL – Shifted out shortly after the start, tightening runners to its outside.
 
DAY TO FAVOUR – Forced wider shortly after the start by PRIDE OF JEZEBEL, which shifted out.
 
TRADING STOCK – Hampered at the start by DAY TO FAVOUR, which was forced outwards shortly after the start. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. Finished tailed off. Rider J. Grob advised Stewards on returning to scale that he felt the gelding was awkward in its action and therefore did not place the gelding under any real pressure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was displaying minor soreness and stepping short in both front legs. Trainer L. Abbott was advised that she must obtain a veterinary clearance prior to the gelding being permitted to trial or race again.
 
SKAGERAK – Hampered at the start by TRADING STOCK, which was forced outwards shortly after the start.

SERRENA'S KINGDOM – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Finished tailed off. Rider A. Fancourt advised Stewards on returning to scale that she was of the opinion that the mare got its tongue over the bit and choked down. Trainer W Bannerot agreed with the rider’s assessment and advised Stewards she would experiment with gear changes prior to the mare’s next start. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
RACE 3: DARLIN - WHOLESALE HOMEWARE CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1800 METRES
 
STARLIGHTER – Stood flat-footed in the barriers and lost ground. Trainer G. Doughty was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare’s barrier manners.
 
MUFASTA – Weakened over the final stages. Rider S. Galloway advised Stewards that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages however failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. He further added that in his opinion MUFASTA did not appreciate the firmness of today’s track. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
RACE 4: CHRISTMAS FESTIVE FEAST BOOK NOW QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1100 METRES
 
WAR HOPE – Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. Trainer L. Kelly was advised that the gelding must obtain a barrier certificate prior to the gelding being permitted to race again. Slow to begin. Compounded in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
 
TAN DINH – Jumped out at the start making contact with VALLETTA KNIGHT.
 
VALLETTA KNIGHT – Was bumped by TAN DINH, which shifted out, and in turn shifted out bumping MICROWAVE JENNY.
 
MICROWAVE JENNY – Bumped on jumping. Shifted in making contact with TAN DIHN near the 450 metres and when being corrected raced ungenerously for a short distance between runners. Raced three-wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
IN ORDER – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
KEETA – Raced four-wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
RACE 5: HAYMANS ELECTRICAL SURFERS PARADISE MAIDEN PLATE 1400 METRES
 
CONJUROR – Began awkwardly and shifted in, making heavy contact with its inside barrier gate.
 
REPETITEUR – Shifted out at the start bumping REDENZO BULLET.
 
REDENZO BULLET – Bumped on jumping. Was inconvenienced near the 400 metres and had to be steadied. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CLAIRVUE SUN – Slow to begin. Shifted out near the 400 metres, forcing FIOURUKI wider, which inconvenienced REDENZO BULLET. Rider B. Pengelly was advised to show greater care. Raced greenly in the home straight.
 
FIOURUKI – Forced wider near the 400 metres.
 
CENTENARY STAR – Rider K. Wilson-Taylor was fined the sum of $300 for use of the whip on eight (8) occasions prior to the 100m, being three (3) times more than permitted pursuant to AR132(7)(a)(ii).
 
 
 
RACE 6: RBC GROUP CLASS 5 PLATE 1400 METRES
 
CULLINGWORTH – Bumped on jumping.
 
LOSE THE SNIP – Began awkwardly and shifted out, bumping CULLINGWORTH. Rider J. Grisedale was reprimanded for excessive use of the whip, being on sixteen (16) occasions, being two (2) times more than permitted pursuant to AR132(5).
 
SENRIMA TIDE – Over-raced in the early stages of the race.
 
JACKPOT JAY – Over-raced in the middle stages of the race.
 
SMART AS ATTACK – Held up for clear running leaving the 400 metres and again near the 100 metres.
 
DIVINE DECADENCE – On returning to scale jockey J. Taylor advised Stewards the mare raced flat and was disappointing. Trainer H. Page agreed with jockey Taylor’s assessment and advised stewards it is now her intention DIVINE DECADENCE be sent for a spell.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery.
 
RACE 7: KENSULAR XMAS DAY OUT CLASS 2 PLATE 1300 METRES
 
SUGAR ZONE – Began awkwardly.
 
SIESTA KEY – Blundered on jumping. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
RACE 8: DAVID EDWARDS BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1200 METRES
 
FISH ON – On pulling up rider T. Wolfgram was disloged suffering an injury to his left side ribcage and transported to hospital. T. Wolfgram was advised he would require a medical clearance prior to resuming race riding.
 
SHE'S CHOOSIE – Bumped on jumping away.

THE CHOSEN ONE – Slow to begin.
 
SOMERVELL – Shifted out and bumped SHE’S CHOOSIE.
