QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap 900 metres FILTHY RICH – Began awkwardly, shifted out bumping MISHANI DREAMER. Raced greenly throughout. SPILL THE DIAMONDS – Raced greenly in the home straight. Near the 300m shifted out away from FILTHY RICH. MISHANI DREAMER – Began awkwardly, bumped at the start with FILTHY RICH. Shortly after the start was severely checked and lost ground when FILTHY RICH which was racing greenly hung out. WALTZ – Laid out rounding the home turn. Race 2: HIT 90.9 GET THAT FEELING Class 3 Handicap 1800 metres MISS GEM – Performed below market expectation, Rider J Guthmann-Chester stated the mare raced flat and was disappointing. SPICERS PEAK – Rider A Chau became unbalance on jumping. Raced wide without cover until passing the 1100m before obtaining a position outside the leader. DEVINE GREY – Slow to begin. Race 3: HIT 90.9 BIANCA, DAN & BEN Class 3 Handicap 1400 metres PAY WITH CASH – Rider J Adams was harmlessly dislodge leaving the mounting yard pre-race. Tightened and checked at the start between CENTENARY STAR and MY BLUEWINGS which was carried out by WATCHTHE CAT. Over raced in the early and middle stages. PRINNY'S SUCCESS – Rider M Hellyer reported the gelding would be better suited on tracks with more give. VIVENDO IL SOGNO – Change of tactics: to be ridden further back; Settled worse than midfield. Over raced in the early stages when being restrained to gain cover. CENTENARY STAR – Bumped heavily on the hind quarters at the start by PAY WITH CASH. Apprentice K Wilson-Taylor was fined $300 under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted. Race 4: HIT 90.9 ALPHABUCKS QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1100 metres CAMERLENGO – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Performed below market expectation, Rider J Adams stated colt was disappointing and would derive benefit from today’s run. A post-race swab sample was taken for analysis. Rider J Adams was reprimanded under AR132(5) for excessive use of the whip, fifteen occasions in total. ROMAN HEIR – Race wide without cover for the majority. Raced greenly throughout. VITAE – Slow to begin. SNAP CHAT – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Race 5: THE GOLD COASTS 92.5 TRIPLE M Maiden Handicap 1300 metres YUFCALLEDCHARLIE – Fractious in the mounting yard and dislodged its rider J Adams. Late scratching at 2.56pm by order of Stewards. CHOUX MAN CHOUX (NZ) – Slow to begin. Failed to stretch out and tailed the field throughout. Trainer P Duncan was advised that the gelding must trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again. Rider T Brooker reported her saddle slipped during the event, however, did not believe this impacted the performance.OFF ROAD – Near the 900m was steadied when placed on the heels of CHEZZA. Rider M Hellyer was examined by QAS officers and stood down for the remainder of the day, M Hellyer will be required to provide a medical clearance prior to riding again. Rider J Adams was examined by QAS officers and passed fit to continue riding. Race 6: BRIDGE & SPIDA NOW WITH FLAN BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1200 metres SEA RAIDER – Knuckled at the start. Rider R Plumb report that he did not ride his mount out fully due to being accidently struck with the whip of rider J Adams. ECKER ROAD – Bumped at start. FEW TOO MANY – Over raced in the early and middle stages. UNCONDITIONAL – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped ECKER ROAD. LORD HERON – Began awkwardly and bumped with UNCONDITIONAL, as a result lost ground. HAIL MANHATTAN – Steadied approaching the 400m when awkwardly placed inside the heels of ECKER ROAD. SOJOURNIST – Late scratching at 2.53pm on Veterinary advice when the mare was found to be suffering from heat stress/colic, treated on course. Trainer D Murphy was advised that he must obtain a Veterinary clearance prior to the mare racing or trialling. Race 7: ROCKS GREATEST HITS LIVE ON 92.5 TRIPLE M Class 1 Plate 1800 metres STEEL PIER – Slow to begin. THE CHOSEN ONE – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early and middle stages. THE HOUSEMAN – Over raced in the early stages. WEALTH'N'POWER – Reared at the start and lost ground. Raced wide without cover from the 1000m. Hampered near the 200m between STEEL PIER and THE HOUSEMAN which shifted out. Apprentice L Kilner reported her mount hung in throughout and proved difficult to ride out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer M Frappell was advised a warning will be placed on the geldings racing manners. ANACREON – Near the 600m improved on to the heels of PEQUINA COLINA. PEQUINA COLINA – Inconvenienced at the start. Raced wide without cover until passing the 1000m. ROSIE ROSE (NZ) – Slow to begin Race 8: SOUTHERN CROSS AUSTEREO CHRISTMAS PARTY BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1200 metres STAY SMART – Slow to begin. ROCKY NUGGET – Raced wide with cover. WATCHING – Steadied over the concluding stages when in restricted room. MYSTERY TRICK – Began awkwardly. IN AGREEMENT – Steadied near the 200m when MORE THAN FORTUNE shifted out under pressure. THE DARK (NZ) – Bounded at the start and lost ground. Near the 200m when improving was checked to avoid the heels of MORE THAN FORTUNE which shifted in. MISS BULITZ – Raced wide without cover. WOOHOO GIRL – Near the 600m was steadied when close to the heels of NAKANAI. Held up rounding the home turn. MORE THAN FORTUNE – Near the 200m shifted out before being straightened, then shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. NAKANAI – (12 year old) Underwent a Veterinary examination upon arrival on course and was passed suitable to race.
