BETTER ETHICS- When questioned regarding the performance, Apprentice K. A post-race veterinary examination of BETTER ETHICS revealed no abnormalities. Trainer L Hatch undertook to report back on the condition of the gelding in the days subsequent and indicated he would freshen up the gelding and continue with its campaign if there was nothing amiss.

CONTROLTHEWITNESS- Raced three wide early before being allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader nearing the 1100m. At a subsequent inquiry, Apprentice M Wishart (SHIJIN) was issued with a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that she made insufficient effort to prevent her mount from shifting out.
