Collett stated that ideally she would have liked to settle in a more forward position, however after beginning awkwardly, was obliged to settle further back than anticipated but overall was satisfied with the performance of the mare.

ORIGINAL GLAZE – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. Laid out rounding the home turn. Raced in restricted room leaving the 50m. When questioned, jockey N. Callow advised that it was his intention to lead, however after only beginning fairly, he felt that it would’ve been detrimental to overly pressure the mare considering the step up in distance from its last start over 1350m. He further added that when racing in restricted room between runners in the early stages, the mare commenced to over race. Cast its near-fore plate in running.

HULKAMANIA – Jockey J. Huxtable advised that the gelding over raced throughout the event and proved difficult to settle which he believes had a detrimental effect on the overall performance. Trainer A. Campton advised that he would give consideration to removing the blinkers at its next start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Bayliss) shifted out and COUP DE TONNERRE shifted in marginally when that runner was awkwardly placed to inside of INTUITU. Jockey J. Bayliss was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Leaving the 200m, had to be checked from the heels of THESECONDATPORTSEA (J. Bayliss) which shifted out. Jockey J. Bayliss pleaded guilty to a charge of carless riding pursuant to AR131(a) in that leaving the 200m, he permitted his mount to shift outwards under riding, resulting in TRIPLE MONEY becoming awkwardly placed at its heels and having to be checked by its rider. Jockey Bayliss’ license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 29th of September 2024 and to expire midnight 6th of October 2024. Jockey Dolan further added that in the middle stages of the race he was obliged to pressure the colt due to the fast tempo set by MISHANI LILY.  Trainer D. Bougoure advised that it would now be his intention to step the colt up in distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
