Race 1: CLASS 2 (850 METRES)
1st ZAHMAO 2nd MAGIC PEARL 3rd MONNAMEE 4th- GIZA

RED ACE (A Coome) was slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
COAL COMMAND (L Dillion) was slow into stride and failed to show any speed.
GIVE IM ZA (S Sheargold) resented the sand coming back and as a result over raced in the early and middle stages of the race.

Race 2: MAIDEN PLATE (1000 METRES)
1st TEAANNA LASS 2nd BOSTON PRINCE 3rd PHIL DOESN”T CARE 4th- TRIPLE CENTURY

Jockey S Sheargold pleaded guilty to a charge under the terms of AR85(b) for failing to fulfill his declared riding engagment on SHADOW THROWER. Jockey Sheargold was subsequently fined the sum of $100. Apprentice C Pye was substituted as the rider.

SHADOW THROWER (App C Pye) was slow into stride.
LIGHT THE FIRE (N Patchett) was slow into stride and raced wide throughout.
LIGHT THE FIRE pulled up quickly on completion of the race. A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 3: CLASS B (1194 METRES)
1st–PRICELY 2nd – BLODESHAVEMOREFUN 3rd MUSICA 4th- SUGAR DIAMOND

SUGAR DIAMOND (T O’Hara) reared as the gates opened and as a consequence was slow into stride.
PIPELINER (L Dillion) was slow into stride.
PRICELY (N Patchett) & MUSICA (A. Coome) raced wide throughout.

Race 4: CLASS 6 (1194 metres)
1st MASTER GREIG 2nd MANDS BOND 3rd JOE KWILA 4th – MYSTIC MOUNTAIN

Stewards questioned apprentice Carly Mae-Pye into the seemingly disappointing performance of MYSTIC MOUNTAIN. Apprentice Pye stated that MYSTIC MOUNTAIN had failed to handle the sand track and did not respond to being challenged for the lead by JOE KWILA (T O’Hara).

No other racing incidents to report.

Race 5: CLASS B (1608 metres)
1st SARBI 2nd LIBERTY’S MAGIC 3rd MAID OF SEVENS 4th- INALA ROYALE

On jumping TARANTARA (App K Cross) and ANNIA MINOR (N Patchett) bumped heavily causing ANNIA MINOR to lose ground.
INALA ROYALE (M Barnham) raced wide in the early and middle stages.
