Race 1: Rydges Gladstone QTIS Maiden Plate - 1000 metres
1st – HAZY HUNTER 2nd – REDWIN 3rd – DELANNIKA 4th- PUFF OF SMOKE

TE AROHA (App R Payne) was a slow to begin and shortly after the start was eased from heels of SIDI BARRANI (S. McGovern) which had been taken out by HAZY HUNTER (M. Barnham) which had jumped outwards.

PUFF OF SMOKE (L. Dillon) was hampered and taken in onto OUT OF CONTROL (App A Kitson) when DELANNIKA (App K Gates) laid in shortly after the start.

DACK’S MISTRESS (C. McIver) and PUFF OF SMOKE raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Jetset Travel BM 60 Handicap - 1517 metres
1st – STREETFIRE 2nd – BERRYBEAR 3rd – NO MORE VICES 4th – BASE JUMP

NINEVEH’S WISH (L. Appo) began awkwardly.

PHIL DOESN’T CARE (L. Dillon) slipped at the start and began awkwardly.

BERRYBEAR (App K Gates) raced wide until near the 1200 metres.

From the 1200 metres, DASHINGLY (C. McIver) raced wide.

Near the 100 metres, STREETFIRE (T. O’Hara) laid in and made contact with BASE JUMP (N. Evans) and both runners become unbalanced.

From approximately the 200 metres, BERRYBEAR (App K Gates) laid in under pressure.

Jockey T. O’Hara (STREETFIRE) lost her whip near the 600 metres.
Race 3: CQ Thoroughbred Breeders Class 3 Plate- 1194 metres
1st – STAR GIGGLE 2nd – VOLTURNUS 3rd – SNIP ‘N’ AWAY 4th – GREYWIN

GREYWIN (S. McGovern) was a little slow to begin.

SNIP ‘N’ AWAY (C. McIver) was inclined to lay out in the early and middle stages and raced wide throughout.

Race 4: Carpet and Tile Court Gladstone Newmarket Open Handicap- 1194 metres
1st –DIRECT DEBIT 2nd – WHITE CAP 3rd – LIBERTY TYCOON 4th – TWOGUNDAN

TWOGUNDAN (App R Payne) was slow into stride.

LIBERTY TYCOON (T. O’Hara) jumped out onto MASTER GREIG (N. Evans).
LIBERTY TYCOON raced wide throughout.

In relation to the performance of MOICHEIA, Jockey A Merritt stated the gelding had failed to handle the sand surface under the weight impost of 60kg. He further stated that MOICHEIA was able to hold its ground in the early stages however when the pace quicken in the middles stages and positioned behind other horses, had resented the sand kickback.

Race 5: Carlton Mid Gladstone Cup Open Handicap- 1608 metres
1st –TEDDY BARE 2nd – INTERVIEW 3rd – BLAZE TO FORTUNE 4th – SATCH

CHINRUB (L. Dillon) was a little slow to begin.

OVERBOARD (N. Evans) dipped on jumping.

INTERVIEW (A. Merritt) began awkwardly.

SLIM HENRY (L. Appo) commenced to yield ground from the 600 metres.

INTERVIEW and DENWOOD (T. O’Hara) raced wide throughout.

Jockey O’Hara reported that when INTERVIEW laid in slightly on the home turn, bumped DENWOOD and failed to travel from this point.
