MAKE A DEAL (L Dillon) blundered at the start.

At approximately the 600m STAR GIGGLE (D Simmons) was retired from the event when the mare began to hang. Jockey D Simmons reported that the reason that he retired the mare from the event was due to him being unable to control STAR GIGGLE. A post race examination of STAR GIGGLE revealed that the tongue control bit had broken.

Apprentice A Kitson reported FRAHA was inclined to hang out from approximately the 300m.

OTANGO (S McGovern) raced wide throughout.
