Race 1: C. T Smith Mechanical BM 60 Handicap- 850 METRES
 
DE MESTRE- Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
VICIOUS CHICK- Due to circumstances with rider’s gear, rider was permitted to ride ½ kg over riding weight.
 
FRAHA- Raced 3 wide throughout without cover.
 
HOWZAT FOR LUCK- Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 2: Rayment Excavations Maiden Plate- 1000 METRES
 
Delay to correct weight as Stewards viewed the patrol film of the start of the race to ascertain if TABITHA MAGIC had effected the start. It was established that the horse had lunged forward and began awkwardly as the start was effected and lost some ground.
 
Prior to correct weight, due to no photo finish image, Stewards confirmed the judge’s placings from the available patrol film.
 
RACEY CHICK- Slow to begin.
 
STORM UP- Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 3: Barnes Electrical BM Handicap- 1000 METRES
 
FRENCH FLAME- Dipped on jumping.
DUFOUR- Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
WESTBURY ROAD- Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
MINTO’S LASS- Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
CAPTAIN ADRIATIC- The explanation for the late declaration of rider was accepted.
 
Race 4: Toxfree Open Handicap- 1194 METRES
 
BLAZE TO FORTUNE- The explanation for the late declaration of rider was accepted.
 
BLUE JEST- Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 5: Carlton Mid BM 45 Handicap 1517 METRES

EASY AS PYE- Began awkwardly and lost some ground.
 
YOU CAN’T BE- Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
EXCEL WITH REWARD- Commenced to lose ground from the 800 metres and was retired from the race. A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer advised that the gelding must be competitive in a barrier trial prior to its next race start.
