After taking evidence from all available parties, Trainer J Manzelmann pleaded guilty to a charge under AR175(q) in that he did misconduct himself towards Chairman of Stewards Mr Gary Meek. Mr Manzelmann was fined $200 and made aware of his rights to internal review. Race 1: Reef City Ford Class B Handicap 850m MISS DORA Rider L Attard was permitted to ride 2.5kg overweight when no other suitable rider was available. When placed in the barrier it broke through and was immediately restrained and loaded again. Began awkwardly. PRINCESS RHYTHM Raced wide throughout. SHEES ON POINT Raced wide throughout. RUBY RED GIFT Jumped out abruptly and lost ground. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Race 2: Walz Group QTIS BenchMark 50 Handicap 1194m RUSTY SCOOTER Slow into stride and lost ground. The horse did not travel comfortably in the early stages and dipped on a number of occasions. When question the rider stated that the delay in the barriers may have had an effect on the horse at the start and was mindful that this was itts first start on a sand track. He further stated he placed it under pressure throughout and in the final 300 metres had responded to his riding. CROWN ME LUCKY When loaded, lunged forward and sprung the gates. The horse took fright and bck out of the barriers. Jockey Barnham reported an injury to his left arm. Difficult to load. A warning was placed on the horse for being difficult to load. BANSHEE JET Broke through the barriers and was quickly restrained and reloaded. CRAIGLEA MAXX Declared a late scratching at 1:13pm due to no available rider. MARKED FOREVER Jumped awkwardly. GORGEOUS GAL Near the 600 metres hung in onto the heels of FIRESTAR PHOENIX. From the 300 metres, continued to lay in. Race 3: Barnes Electrical Ratings Band 0 65 Handicap 1000m The declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey D Evans to view the available patrol films in the straight. After doing so he declined to lodge an objection and correct weight was declared. ATARATZI Tightened shortly after the start and had to be eased. Raced wide throughout. SOCIETY QUEEN Jockey L Attard was permitted to ride 2.5kg overweight. MARKED FOREVER A late scratching at 10:15am. Trainer V Heading was reminded of his obligation to scratch a dual acceptor at scratching time. FRENCH FLAME Jockey D Evans was permitted to ride 0.5kg overweight. MUSCOVY Raced wide without cover. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore knee. A veterinary certificate is required prior to next race start. CONFIDENT STAR Near the 100 metres, shifted in when not fully clear and as a result caused FRENCH FLAME to steady and shift out to obtain clear running. App. E Smith was reprimanded for this incident. Race 4: Winx Open Handicap 1000m HOT NN SOXY App. E Smith was dual engaged. She was permitted, prior to jockey declarations to accept another ride. Jockey L Attard was permitted to ride 3kg overweight. Slow into stride. RANGA ROCKET Slow into stride. Race 5: Hendens Upholstery BenchMark 50 Handicap 1517m HULK HENRY Broke through when placed in the barrier and was quickly restrained and reloaded. Began awkwardly. GOOD JUDGE and LOGICAL OUTCOME Late scratchings due to no available rider. MOSS PRINCESS Rider reported that the mare resent the kick back however finished the race off well. CRAIGLEA COPPER Raced 3 wide throughout.
