Race 1: SMALL MOTOR SERVICE BenchMark 55 Handicap (850 METRES)
 
LUSHNESS was declared a late scratching at 1:15pm by stewards acting on veterinary advice after rearing in the barriers then breaking through the gate without the rider and galloping to the finish line before being captured.
Stewards order all betting monies invested on LUSHNESS to be refunded and that the following deductions applicable.

29 Cents in the dollar on the face value of face value of win bests and 20c in the dollar for all place bets for the winner
20 Cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets
20 Cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets
 
Trainer Damien Rideout was advised a warning would be placed on LUSHNESS for barrier manners.
 
OVERLOAD was slow into stride.
 
ELDIYM raced wide throughout without cover.
 
FRAHA raced wide throughout without cover.
 
DIAGORAS raced wide throughout without cover.
 
ALL BAR LILY placed second, rider made application to stewards prior to correct weight to view the photo finish in regards to being placed second. After viewing the photo finish jockey Kelly Gates was satisfied with the judge’s decision, stewards then declared correct weight on the semaphored numbers.
 
Race 2: CARLTON DRY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE (850 METRES)
 
BOUN CI dwelt at the start rider reported saddle slipped during the race.
 
SWEET NOTE knuckled at the start.
 
FYLART resented the sand coming back from about the 600 metres and commenced a climbing action for the remainder and finished the race well back.
 
WICKED TURN was slow out and failed to show any speed throughout.
 
 
Race 3: ALLEN BROOKS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
 
JEB’S BOY was slow into stride and steadied off the heels of EXSTRATUM at the 500 metres.
 
AL’S BRIEF was slow into stride
 
ROCKETTE ROCKET was slow into stride, raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 4: WATTYL PAINTS CLASS B (1194 METRES)
 
DEBBIE’S DREAM Jockey Martin Haley replaced jockey Scott Sheargold as the rider due to jockey Scott Sheargold accepting 2 rides in the race.
Jockey Scott Sheargold was subsequently fined $200.00 for accepting two rides in the race.
 
CORAL SEAS was re-saddled at the barriers, rider reported saddle shifted over the concluding stages and was unable to ride his mount out.
 
MUB CRAB and SOUND INVESTMENT bumped at the start and again on entering the course proper.
 
LIFE BE IN IT forced out wide on the track by MUD CRAB at the 850 metres continued to race wide for the remainder.
 
DEBBIE’S DREAM steadied off the heels of another runner at the 800 metres.
 
TRIPLE WON raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5: TOXFREE BenchMark 50 Handicap (1517 METRES)
 
ROSEDANE was declared a late scratching at 11:30am due trainer’s vehicle breakdown outside Brisbane.
 
CAPTAIN ADRIATIC was slow into stride and over raced from the 1300 metres until the 1100 metres when being steadied off heels.
 
CHAIN THE GATE raced wide throughout.
