Race 1: Easter Race Carnival Ratings Band 0 – 50 Handicap 1194m
 
SOUTHERN ALBATROSS – Slow to begin and further hampered when TESSINO jumped out and took LUCIFER’S ANGEL outwards.
 
DEBBIE’S DREAM – Slow into stride.
 
THAT’S HER I THINK – From the 800 metres, shifted wide on the track to avoid the sand kick back. Following this race Jockey N Seymour sought medical treatment and was cleared to fulfil his remaining engagements.
 
Race 2: Happy Birthday Dan Mussig Maiden Plate 1000m
 
HIGH HUSSY – Stewards accepted the explanation with regards to the late declaration of rider.
 
CLASSIC MAGIC – Slow to begin.
 
Race 3: Gladstone Regional Council BenchMark 60 Handicap 1000m
 
MIM’S POET – At the start, put its head down before the start was effected, jumped awkwardly and was slow away.
 
LUSHNESS – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
POETIC SHOW – Stable representative was reminded to have riders declared by the prescribed time.
 
 
 
Race 4: Lily Hair Easter Fashions On The Field Open Handicap 1000m
 
There was a short delay on the declaration of correct weight to allow stewards to view the patrol film with relation to the start of DUAN OSCAR. After doing so, stewards were satisfied with the start and correct weight was declared.
 
DUAN OSCAR – Put head down as the start was effected. Began very awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout without cover. A post-race veterinary inspection did not reveal any abnormalities.
 
AL’S BRIEFS – Raced wide throughout without cover. Trainer D Gardiner was reminded to have riders declared by the prescribed time.
 
Race 5: Barnes Electrical Class B Handicap 1517m
 
SPY CI – Began awkwardly and raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
DUANSKILL – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
DUAL PERSONALITY – Jockey N Seymour was fined $100 for use of his whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100 metres. In considering penalty, Stewards took into account the totality of use, his exemplary record and guilty plea of Jockey Seymour.
