Race 1: Spring Racing Carnival Maidne Plate 850m
 
Stewards permitted D Simmons to ride 1kg overweight for acceptable reasons.
 
The official placings for this race were manually judged and recorded due to a technical issue.
 
HIGH CHANGE – Trainer C Garland reported that following today’s poor performance the gelding would be retired.
 
JUZOU – Blundered as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
JUST ROSIE – Hampered on jumping and lost ground.
 
SAME OLD STORY – Jumped out as the start was effected and bumped JUST ROSIE.
 
CHILD SUPPORT – Began awkwardly.
 
LA CELESTINA – Slow into stride then raced wide for the majority.
 
 
Race 2: Family Fun Day 15th December Ratings Band 0-60 Handicap 1000m
 
Stewards permitted M Hart ( AUTHADANE) to ride 1 and a half over for acceptable reasons.
 
G Hayes (NEED FINANCE) unable to ride at the allocated weight and replaced with D Simmons. Jockey Hayes was reprimanded.
 
ALAKAI – Jockey Doyle reported that the mare never travelled comfortably despite his efforts. A post-race veterinary examination could find no apparent abnormalities
.
SALTY’S BOY –Raced wide in the early stages.
 
GENERAL SIDEREUS -  Ran wide approaching the home turn. Jockey Nicole Seymour was of the opinion that the gelding may have resented the kick back.
 
Race 3: Diceys QTIS BenchMark 50 Handicap 1194m
 
A LITTLE BIT MORE – Blundered as the start was effected before mustering speed. Raced wide for the majority.
 
ROCKET OF GOLD – Jockey Evans reported that in his opinion the gelding resented the kickback.
 
LUCIFER’S ANGEL – Raced wide for the majority.
 
Race 4: Furphy Open Handicap 1194m
 
SAMUEL JAMES – Over raced and steadied from heels near the 750m when its rider elected to restrain and take cover on ELDIYM.
 
AL’S BRIEFS – Hung out at various stages.
 
 
Race 5: Melbourne Cup at GTC Tuesday 6th November BenchMark 55 Handicap 1517m
 
HEIRARCHAL – Slow into stride.
 
DUAN DUBAI – Raced wide early and middle stages.
 
MARGO MAREE – Blundered as the start was effected then raced wide early.
 
ISIS DE VEGA -  Saddle rolled approaching the 1300M placing jockey Achini in some difficulty. Continued to trail the field throughout the event before its rider was dislodged approximately 500m after the post. Jockey Achini was assessed by QAS staff before being transported to Gladstone Hospital for observations. Jockey Achini will require a medical clearance prior to the resumption of race riding.
