QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT GLADSTONE TURFCLUB 29.05. 2021 WEATHER – Fine TRACK RATING – Sand RAIL – True OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – D MacklynStewards – G Wust, J DayClerk of Scales – StewardsJudge – D ThompsonVeterinarian – K ThompsonStarter – R Lisle General During the running of Race 3 the Tradelink Benchmark 65 Handicap over 1000 M, Jockey Chris McIver was struck in the mouth by an unknown missile which dislodged a front tooth. Race 1: AG Equip Class B handicap 850M God of Mischief: Tightened for room between Clusterfest, who shifted outwards and Mossmaid who shifted inwards as the start was affected. Fav’s Flyer: Raced wide throughout. Glam Rock: Raced wide throughout. Shadforth Lass: Knuckled badly as the start was affected then continued to race wide throughout. Clusterfest: Began awkward, jumping outwards, making contact with God of Mischief Mossmaid: Began awkward, jumping inwards, making contact with God of Mischief Race 2: Green Pepper Maiden Plate 1000M Luv A Whisky: Was slow away then shifted outwards just after jumping then continued to race wide throughout Tambo’s Queen: Was slow away Race 3: Tradelink Benchmark 65 Handicap 1000M Absolute Bonza: Raced wide rounding the home turn Race 4: Hair By “Studio B’ Benchmark 55 Handicap 1194M Kartanup: Prior to the start underwent a vet inspection after dislodging the rider on the way to the barriers and was passed fit to start. Shady Diamond: Raced wide rounding the home turn No More Bids: Upon entering the home straight had to be checked off the heels of Deck of Aces who had shifted outwards when not fully clear. Apprentice I Teh, rider of Deck of Aces, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift outwards when insufficiently clear resulting in No More Bids having to check and lose its rightful running. Upon sentencing Stewards took into account her good record. The licence of I Teh to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 30th May up to and including midnight 7th June. Race 5: FAB Financial Services Benchmark 45 Handicap 1517M Hecanrockme: The failure to remove the pre-race ear muffs at the barriers saw Hecanrockme complete the race with the pre-race earmuffs still intact. Under the provisions of AR204(1) (d), because Hecanrockme finished in fourth place the gelding could not be declared an non starter.
