TWOGOBOOM – Jumped out at the start.

CRAIGLEA DIVA – When asked to comment on the performance, rider C McIvor stated the filly, which was having its first start on a sand surface, did not appreciate the kick back and was reluctant to stretch out for much of the event.

METALLIC REIGN – Tightened at the start and lost ground.

Race 2 – Benchmark 60 HDCP 850 METRES

DIFFICULT – Bumped heavily on jumping with DONE IT AGAIN. When asked to comment on the performance, rider D McGillivray stated the mare travelled well throughout the event, however when placed under pressure from the 200 metres failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils for the second time. Trainer W Baker was advised DIFFICULT would now incur a lifetime ban from racing under AR79(6).

DONE IT AGAIN – Bumped heavily on jumping with DIFFICULT.

KIPCHOGE – Slow to muster speed in the early stages. Near the 100 metres was crowded for room and obliged to shift out across the heels of DIFFICULT which shifted in under pressure. Apprentice D McGillivray, rider of DIFFICULT, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding and advised to stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than on this occasion. Apprentice A Ross reported KIPCHOGE was reluctant to stretch out on the sand surface in the early stages of the event however from the 400 metres responded when placed under pressure and found the line well, adding that the gelding would appreciate distances longer than that of today.

KRISPY KEV – Raced three wide throughout the event.

TINDER – Blundered on jumping and lost ground.

Race 3 – Benchmark 50 HDCP 1194 METRES

SOLID ASSET – Race wide throughout the event.

ALL GAIN – Blundered on jumping and lost ground. Raced three wide throughout.

SETLIN SAGE – Laid in under pressure in the early stages of the home straight.

UNSURE – Jumped out at the start. Approaching the winning post jumped a shadow resulting in rider C Rogers becoming momentarily unbalanced.

MOMENTUM GLORY – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide throughout.

ON THE TWEED – Following the horse being a late scratching on veterinary advice at Thangool on 11th September when injured being transported to the track, the gelding underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on-course and again behind the barriers following its preliminary and was cleared to start. Held up for a short distance near the 300 metres and steadied from heels.

Race 4 - OPEN HDCP 1000 METRES

HARD STRIDE – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

BEWARE – Passing the 300 metres raced in restricted room to the inside I’M JACKO, and shortly after was inconvenienced when that runner shifted in momentarily before being corrected by its rider. A Patis, rider of I’M JACKO, was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

RIVER SPAN – Fractious in the barriers after being loaded. Laid out rounding the home turn.

Race 5 – Class B HDCP 1517 METRES

Declaration of correct weight was delayed when apprentice A Ross viewed the patrol footage in the home straight. After doing so she took the matter no further and correct weight declared on the judges’ placings.

CRAIGLEA CLINKERS – Blundered on jumping resulting in rider C McIvor becoming unbalanced and losing use of his near side stirrup iron for a short distance. After being caught wide in the early stages progressed forward to lead the event from the 1200 metres. Rounding the home turn steadied from the heels of CLUSTERFEST which shifted out. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.

RUSSIAN MISSILE – Passing the winning post on the first occasion was tightened for room and had to be steadied from the heels of FLYING KASS which shifted in and away from OURLASTPENNY which in turn was taken in by CLUSTERFEST when that runner shifted in when not fully clear. Apprentice C Collis, rider of CLUSTERFEST, was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a). Raced four wide from the 800 metres.

KLYING KASS – Taken in near the 1400 metres.
