QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT GLADSTONE JOCKEY CLUB GLADSTONE – SATURDAY 13 AUGUST 2022 WEATHER – Overcast / Showers TRACK RATING –Sand RAIL – True OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – S Larkins Stewards – M Heath & J RandallClerk of Scales – Stewards Judge – D Tomsen Veterinarian – Dr K ThomsonStarter – B Lisle Race 1: XXXX GOLD MAIDEN PLATE 850 metres FOXY FIVE – Jockey Hannah Richardson explained that the gelding failed to travel well during the run and connections were going to re-assess the racing future of her mount. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. ETHELDA – Fractious prior to the start and was loaded riderless. Raced greenly throughout. Race 2: HAHN SUPER DRY Class B Handicap1194 metres THORBEN – Raced wide during the middle stages. TOY WHITTY – Fractious and reared before the start. Tightened near the 500m. GABRIELLE – Tightened and raced in restricted room near the 500m. NIKSICKO – Raced wide during the early and middle stages. Hung in noticeably from the 500m tightening TOY WHITTY in onto GABRIELLE, which raced in restricted room for a short distance. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. LA BELLE LA BELLE – Raced wide during the early and middle stages. BREAKER BREAKER – Trailed the main body of the field throughout. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Race 3: WAYNE WILSON MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 60 Handicap1000 metres BLUINDI – Raced wide throughout. SHENZI – Slow into stride. Race 4: DICEYS LIQUOR WAREHOUSE GLADSTONE NEWMARKET OPEN Handicap1194 metres DEMURRAL – Raced three wide during the initial stages. AIRWING – Apprentice Alisha Donald reported that the gelding, in her opinion, felt sore during the run. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed lameness to the near foreleg and trainer W Loudon was advised that a veterinary clearance was required prior to AIRWING resuming racing. Race 5:IRON JACK GLADSTONE CUP OPEN Handicap 1608 metres GALVARINO – Raced three wide during the early and middle stages. No Further Racing Incidents Race 6: BYRON BAY LAGER BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1517 metres CUBIX – Raced wide during the early and middle stages. RUFFIN’ IT – Raced wide during the initial stages. Apprentice Brooke Johnson advised that after her mount was only fair to begin, she elected not to progress forward and elected to obtain cover. Ms Johnson further stated that RUFFIN’ IT did not appreciate the kick back and finished the race of reasonably well when in clear ground over the final 300m. REGAL EYES – Rider Tasha Chambers advised that the mare did not appreciate the track conditions and performed below expectations. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. TRUST IN ALOHA – Checked after the start. Raced wide throughout. YU LONG SHENG HUI – Jumped outwards at the start checking TRUST IN ALOHA. Raced wide during the early and middle stages.
