General:
As jockey C. McIver was not riding at todays meeting due to transportation difficulties he was replaced as per stewards summary.
 
Race 1: THANKS GTC VOLUNTEERS MAIDEN PLATE – 1194 METRES
 
BUBBLE BATH – Slow into stride. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
WISHNOWSKY – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
MISS BENEFITS – Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages.   
 
EMPEROR’S REWARD – Laid out leaving the 800 metres and lost ground.
 
Race 2:  – TONY 'BARCOO' REYNOLDS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP – 1194 METRES
 
LUCKY TIME – Trainer G. Richardson was fined the sum of $100 under the provisions
LR67(1) for the late declaration of rider for the mare.
 
TRUST IN ALOHA – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to a laceration above
its nearside eye and was cleared to start. Began awkwardly. Shifted wider leaving the 900
metres and raced wide from that point.
 
BAGGER TWISTIES – Slow to begin. Apprentice L. O’Donnell was examined by the QAP
officers following the event after getting sand in her eyes. After receiving treatment was
cleared to fulfil her remaining riding engagements.   
 
KARBORS – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
CRAIGLEA BANDIT – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.

Race 3: BRIAN IBBOTSON QTIS CLASS 2 HANDICAP – 1000 METRES

JAMESATELLI – As C. McIver was unable to ride at todays meeting time due to
transportation difficulties and no other rider was available stewards at the request of
trainer G. Clem granted jockey P. Hamblin permission to ride the gelding 3kg over its allotted
weight. This was broadcast via public address.
 
NINETYNINE NOT OUT – Stewards accepted the explanation tenderred by trainer J Wehlow
for the late decleration of rider for the filly.
 
SHENZI – Slow into stride.    
 
TOY BLAZE – Raced in restricted for a short distance after the start and was momentarily
Steadied.
 
ART BY CONCORDE – Improved onto heels near the 300 metres and was steadied.
Correct weight was delayed when apprentice rider L. O’Donnell wished to view the
patrol film to assertain if she had grounds to lodge an obection against the winner, aleging
interference near the 300 metres. After viewing the available footage in the company of her
master Mr C. Smith, apprentice O’Donnell did not wish to proceed and correct weight was
given on the judges semephored numbers.
 
ONLY EMMA – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a laceration to its off hind lower leg and a loosened off hind plate. Trainer B. Johnson was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance prior the horse trialling or racing again.  
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Race 4: BOB LISLE OPEN HANDICAP – 850 METRES

HAN DYNASTY – Apprentice jockey T. Leslight pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(C)
and was fined the sum of $200 in that he made a prolonged celebratory gesture prior to
winning post.
 
WRECKING BALL – Slow into stride.
 
HARD LANDING – Began awkwardly.  
 
LAST ARMAGEDDON – Raced ungenerously in the early stages when resenting the kick-back.
 
BULLETIN – Laid out approaching and round the home-turn. Raced wide for the majority of the race.

Race 5: COX PLATE 22ND OCTOBER BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1517 METRES

ROSHAN – Began awkwardly and slipped. When questioned regarding its performance jockey P. Hamblin stated that after beginning awkwardly and being unable to obtain the lead which is its normal racing pattern, was unsuitable to the gelding which he attributed to its poor performance today.
 
CREDENZA – Began awkwardly.
 
CUBIX – Slow to begin. Shifted wider leaving the 850 metres and raced wide from the point onwards.
 
MARTO – Wide in the early stages and over raced for a short distance when improving forward on the turn out of the straight on the first occasion.   
 
TAKEN BY CHANCE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
