Race 1: TELEMON STUD CLASS B Handicap 850 metres
 
LUXOR PRINCE – Raced wide early.
 
MAVERICK HENRY – Began awkwardly. Inclined to climb in its action in the early stages. Hung out for some distance rounding the turn near the 450m.
 
NOUVERRE FILLE – Bumped with RASHEED at the start. Hung out for some distance rounding the turn near the 450m.
 
QUEEN BEAN – Hung in under pressure for the majority of the home straight placing the rider at a disadvantage.
 
RASHEED – Bumped with NOUVERRE FILLE at the start.
 
 
Race 2: CQ FENCING & RETAINING WALLS MAIDEN PLATE 1194 metres
 
EMPEROR’S REWARD – Slow into stride. Rider reported hung in throughout. Cast off fore plate in running.
 
ROCK DREAMER (NZ) – Raced wide without cover throughout. Hung in under pressure for the majority of the home straight.
 
SUDDEN SUSPECT – Slow into stride and trailed the field by a considerable distance throughout. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Trainer B Murray was advised that the gelding would be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to its next race start.
 
 
Race 3: XXXX GOLD QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE 1000 metres
 
BOFORS – Slow into stride.
 
KRISPY KEV – Raced four wide without cover until near the 600 metres where it took a leading position.
 
RISING SPIRIT – Shifted out gradually under pressure for the distance of the home straight.
 
 
Race 4: GREG MCCANN MEMORIAL OPEN SPRINT Handicap 1000 metres
 
MR BROSE – Inclined to lay in in the early stages of the home stages.
 
LIUTENANT – Stewards permitted Jockey T Chambers to ride the gelding a half kilogram overweight. Raced four wide without cover throughout.
 
MARTO – Slow into stride.
 
 
Race 5: BATTLE OF THE BUSH 27TH MAY BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1517 metres
 
 
GRAND DE LAGO – Jockey N Summers was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for applying the whip to her mount on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted.
 
TRI NATIONS – Began awkwardly and jumped inwards at the start.
 
SMART RUBIK – Four wide throughout. Jockey T Chambers was fined $200 under AR131(c) for making a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line.
 
 
SEERESS – Stewards permitted Jockey L Miller to ride the mare a half kilogram overweight. Began awkwardly and tightened immediately after the start. Trailed the field throughout.
