Trainer’s representative M Jeynes advised the horse would be spelled immediately. RACE 2: COMBINED HOTELIERS CLASS B H’CAP 1200M- Prior to correct weight, Stewards gave consideration to a protest lodged by Jockey N Evans the rider of the 3rd placed LEADING STORY against the 2nd placed EXCEEDINGLY KOOL alleging interference rounding the home turn and again over the concluding stages. After hearing evidence from the parties involved and viewing the patrol footage, Stewards established that rounding the home turn LEADING STORY had established a run to the outside of EXCEEDINGLY KOOL which shifted out causing slight interference to LEADING STORY. EXCEEDINGLY KOOL then continued to shift drift outwards dictating the line of LEADING STORY past the centre of the track. Therefore given the small margin between the runners at the conclusion of the event the protest was upheld and the placings amended accordingly. BEAUTIFUL LOVE- Fractious in the barriers.
