QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT GOONDIWINDI RACE CLUB –SATURDAY 24 FEBRUARY 2018 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – GOOD 4; SOFT 5 AFTER RACE 2 RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – L. Edmonstone Race 1: ZIMMERMANN PAINTING / AMBROSE HAULAGE BM 55 HCP - 1400M FONDUE – Slow to begin. LAKE ARGYLE – Raced wide without cover early and middle stages. I AM DYNAMIC – Laid in over the concluding stages. RED BOHEMIA – Leaving the 500m had to be steadied when tightened for room by DESTINY’S DESIRE which shifted in. TELFORD – Rider L. McCoy explained that she was unable to gain a good grip on the reins which were worn and as a result raced in the centre of the track and rounding the home turn ran off. Trainer representative J. Stubbs was advised to inform Trainer L-A. Derecourt of her obligations to present a horse to race with gear that is in better condition. Following the running of this race the track was downgraded to a Soft 5.. Race 2: RICK GRAHAM EQUINE THERAPY / ROBERTS ROADWAYS HCP CLASS B - 1200M Start of this race was delayed due to Queensland Ambulance Services attended to a patron. LADY VIDIA – Began awkwardly. Made the home turn wide. NAVAJO PRINCE - Shifted in, making contact with NONCHALANTE. NONCHALANTE – Bumped at the start. Leaving the 600m shifted out and raced wide without cover from that point. COOL STINGER – Made the home turn wide. Race 3: MORELLA AG PLATE MDN - 1200M DANES FLYER – Slow to begin. Stewards questioned Trainer S. McEwan in regards to the competitiveness of the gelding, she stated that it had not started for 5 months and would benefit from this run. EEFA – Unruly in the mounting yard and was reluctant to go out on the track. HOLUS BOLUS – Inconvenienced near the 400m when MARINE CORPS shifted out slightly. Race 4: GOONDIWINDI COTTON HCP 0-60 - 1000M NOURISHING – Fractious, and kicked out in the barrier stalls. Declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 3:50pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in NOURISHING be refunded with the following deductions to apply: 0 cents in the dollar for the win – #16 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #19 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – # 510 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #7 Veterinary examination revealed abrasions above the eyes and off hind leg. TYCOON ZIP – Began awkwardly. WILL TO RULE – Bumped by another runner at the start. MELLORE – Hung out badly and raced wide on the track. Trainer L. Berger was advised that a waring would be placed on the mare. Race 5: TAYLOR FARMING OPEN HCP – 1000M FOUR MORE MILLERS – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. EXTRA SHOT – Shifted out on jumping. MUSIC SCENE – Shifted in on jumping. REDSSON – Raced wide without. STARWOOD – Made the home turn wide.
