RACE 1: 'NICKY AFTER THE LAST' BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1000M
 
MY HAPPY PLACE – Began awkwardly. Shifted wider onto the track in the middle stages.
 
SHE’S GOT MAGIC – Forced wider by another runner in the middle stages.
 
EXCEED ALL ODDS – Slow into stride.
 
SWIFT RESPONSE – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
SHELLY’S DREAM – Shifted wider rounding the home turn.
 
 
RACE 2: TERRACE CATERING MAIDEN PLATE - 1000M
 
AQUIFER MIST – Overraced in the early stages then changed stride on several occasions during the race.
 
GRAND KOO – Slow to begin, travelled up to the field well, however when eased dropped the bit an failed  to respond when placed under pressure.
 
LUCKY AL – Eased from heels near the 750m when the pace slackened.
 
MEDIA TYCOON – Raced greenly throughout.
 
 
RACE 3: CELEBRATING TEN YEARS OF TURF TRACK RACING BM 60 HANDICAP– 1400M
 
Start was delayed when THIN DISGUISE reared over in the barrier stalls, dislodging apprentice M. Savva, who was uninjured. THIN DISGUISE was subsequently a scratching at 2.56pm on veterinary advice.
 
THE IRONS took fright in the barrier stalls when THIN DISGUISE reared over, inuring jockey N. Evans left ankle on the barrier stall upright. Jockey N. Evans was unable to ride in the race and THE IRONS was subsequently a scratching at 2.56pm. Upon the declaration of correct weight Stewards ordered that all monies invested on THIN DISGUISE and THE IRONS be refunded with the following deductions to apply-
 
1st-  15 cents the win, 18 cents the place.
2nd- 23 cents the place.
 
Trainer B. Johnson was advised that a warning would be placed on THIN DISGUISE.
 
Jockey N. Evans was stood down from remaining engagements, and replacements were made as per Stewards Race Day Summary. Jockey Evans was advised that a medical clearance would be required prior to riding again.
 
CARD TRICKS – Slow to begin.
 
HARBOUR TRICK – Raced three wide without cover for the majority.
 
HIGHTOWER – Jockey C. Franklin reported that the gelding travelled well in the early stages however when placed under pressure was disappointing.
 
RACE 4: THE YOUNG GUNS OPEN HANDICAP - 1200M
 
APPLAUSE A STAR – Slow to begin. Had to be eased when REWARD FOR FASHION shifted in momentarily despite the efforts of its rider.
 
DANIGREE – Jockey G. Snowden reported that the gelding did not handle the early pace and settled well back and then only ran on fairly to the line.
 
 
RACE 5: GUNDY PICNICS APRIL 6 CLASS B HANDICAP– 1200M
 
As Jockey Evans was stood down due to injury, stewards gave permission for Jockey D. McMaster to ride MOUNTAIN RETREAT 3kg overweight, as there was no other rider available.
 
BOLD CROSSING – Slow to begin and lost ground.
 
SWEET  JAIN – Shifted out shortly after the start. Held up entering the home straight until shifting in to obtain clear running near the 100m.
