RACE 1: FULTON HOGAN CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200m
 
MOUNTAIN RETREAT – Declared a late scratching by order of the stewards at 8:19am due to no rider being available.
 
BOLD CROSSING – Began awkwardly. When over racing had to be eased and shifted out across heels leaving the 800m.
 
NICCONI BAY – Had to be eased from heels near the 800m.
 
BACKUP BILLY – Raced in restricted room for a short distance approaching the 800m when EDINGLASSIE FLYER shifted in. Apprentice M. Castle (EDINGLASSIE FLYER) was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
 
CLEAN LINES – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
BROWN BROWN – Raced keen in the middle stages.
 
 
RACE 2: BOGGABILLA TOWN & COUNTRY CLUB MAIDEN PLATE – 1200m
 
TEMPLETON – Began awkwardly and bumped another runner.
 
ONELASTCROWN – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Had to be eased from the heels of a weakening runner near the 500m and as a consequence was held up for clear running until rounding the home turn. Post-race veterinary examination revealed slow post-race recovery.
 
FAYETTE LILY – Raced wide early and middle stages. Jockey G. Snowden reported that the mare travelled well in the early and middle stages however when placed under pressure proved disappointing.
 
BLAZING BELLE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced ungenerously throughout.
 
RACE 3: MORELLA AG/GOONDIWINDI COTTON BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1400m
 
MR OPPURTNIST – Began awkwardly. Apprentice J Morrow reported that the gelding was inclined to hangout throughout. Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
SILENT FLYER – Hung out passing the 1000m, forcing another runner wider.
 
LANDALE – Forced wider near the 1000m by another runner. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
ANGELS LOVE – Slow into stride.
 
PRETEXT’S DREAM – Slow to begin. Jockey N. Evans reported that the gelding travelled well throughout however in his opinion did not appreciate the heavy allotted weight.
 
 
RACE 4: WOBBLY BOOT HOTEL/AIR CARE/AIR AG BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1000m
 
SWIGLARS – Began awkwardly.
 
CHAS’N’RUN – Made the home turn awkwardly when its rider became unbalanced.
 
RACE 5: CARRINGTON COTTON BOGGABILLA CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1000m
 
CLOWN IN THE MOON – Slow into stride.
