Rider changes as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. Apprentice Jockey A. Jones was unable to for fill her riding engagement in Race 5 on LESLIE JAMES. Stewards questioned Trainer B. Dixon and A. Jones and were satisfied with Ms Jones’s explanation and agreed to the replacement as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.Race 1: GOONDIWINDI RETAILERS & HOSPITALITY OUTLETS CLASS B HANDICAP 1400 metresPADDLEPOP - Stood flat footed and missed the start. Began to over race in the early stages and laid in during the early- mid stages of the event. Trainer Ms C. Saunders was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding. Stewards further advised Ms Saunders that the gelding would require a barrier certificate prior to returning to racing. LUCITOR - Bumped by another runner shortly after the start and lost ground.ROSY FOX - Began awkwardly. Leaving the 1200m point, blundered shortly after crossing PADDLEPOP when attempting to secure the lead. NEELANJALI - Travelled wide early and middle stages without cover.SHEINDLIN – Shifted out to obtain clear running rounding the home turn and as a result raced wide in the home straight. Race 2: GOONDIWINDI COMBINED HOTELIERS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200mTAKEMEOUTBACK - Stewards were advised by Trainer C. Henry that the gelding would be ridden forward today. Ridden accordingly. Began awkwardly bumping another runner shortly after jumping.GRANMA - Tightened for room shortly after the start.VERVE -Began awkwardly and bumped another runner shortly after the start.KINGSFORD TIGER - Slow to begin.TWO SHADES - Bumped by another runner after the start resulting in its rider becoming off balance.SIR LOUIE - Stood flat footed at the start and lost ground. Trainer L. Thompson was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse and that the gelding would be require a barrier certificate prior to returning to racing. Shortly after the start, laid in and bumped another runner.BILLJIM – Raced wide without cover throughout. Race 3: INGLEWOOD CUP BATTLE OF THE BUSH GOONDIWINDI QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP 1200m.SEE FOR YOURSELF - Bumped by another runner shortly after the start and lost ground. SPLITZ - Began awkwardly making heaving contact with another runner to the inside.SILENT FLYER – Raced wide without cover throughout. Approaching the 400m point, was forced out momentarily when the rider of ALL EEZ began to improve his position. Jockey J. Missen, the rider of ALL EEZ was advised to exercise more care. Race 4: GOONDIWINDI INDUSTRY SUPPLIERS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1000mThe start of the race was delayed when CHIEF HAVOC underwent a gear adjustment at the barriers. CHIEF HAVOC - Slow to begin. Slow into stride. OPEN WAR - Slow to begin.LITTLE ALBERT – Over raced in the middle stages. DISOBEDIENT – Raced wide without cover from the 400m. Race 5: JEFF HANNAFORD ACCOUNTANTS BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1800mThe declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow the rider of RESONARE the opportunity to view the patrol film. Jockey Yoshida took no further action and subsequently correct weight was officially declared by Stewards.RESONARE - Raced wide without cover form the 400m. When entering the home turn on straightening the horse began to shift out and then continued to shift out wider despite the efforts of its rider. Stewards have spoken with Trainer Mr J. Hearn regarding the horse’s performance in coming days. Jockey K Yoshida was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on six (6) occasions prior to the 100 metres, one (1) more than permitted.POWERS LOOKOUT – Raced wide without cover throughout the early stages.
