WEATHER - FINE TRACK - SAND

RACE 1: MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1150 METRES

TOMMY BAY jumped away awkwardly.

BELLE PATRICIA and WESTERN ARMI were slowly away. On jumping away CLASSY PRINCE jumped outwardly taking PHAROS DANCER out onto LADY KARALENA.

Approaching the 1000 metre mark RED CHEVY began to race unkindly and lost considerable ground. Jockey B. Calkin stated the horse resented the sand being thrown back at it. The trainer of RED CHEVY, Mr G Sheehan was instructed the horse must pass a jump-out before starting again.

On entering the straight WEST BOUND has shifted in marginally tightening EMANCIPATE.

The winner PHAROS DANCER was swabbed.

RACE 2: CLASS 1 HANDICAP – 1150M

ZINA ZULU dipped on jumping away.

ROSS WILLIAM was tightened at the 1000 metre mark when MONICA EL has shifted in and ON PATROL has shifted out.

Approaching the 700 metre mark IN THE SUMMERTIME which was racing greenly has shifted in abruptly resulting in ROSS WILLIAM making heavy contact with the inside running rail and blundered. The trainer of IN THE SUMMERTIME, L Logan was instructed a warning is placed on the horse for its racing manners.

RACE 3: CLASS 4 HANDICAP – 1150M

MUHALIA and NEIGH HIGH came together on jumping away.

RACE 4: MAIDEN HANDICAP – 850M

ISLE HOPE dwelt at the start.

COSMIC FAIRY was tightened between CHEVAL DE BONNET which shifted out and CHATSWOOD CHASE which shifted in on jumping away.

The winner RUAWINA was swabbed.

RACE 5: CRAIGLEA STUD BURNETT TO THE BEACH CLASS 3 HANDICAP – 850M

PRIVATE BRIEFING and OFFICE GOSSIP jumped awkwardly and lost ground.

Correct weight was delayed as jockey M. Dale requested to view the concluding stages of the race. After viewing the video, jockey M. Dale declined to lodge an objection.

The winner PRIVATE BRIEFING was swabbed.

RACE 6: OPEN HANDICAP – 1500M

CRAIGLEA EGO shifted ground on the home turn and continued to shift ground when ridden out in the straight.
