Race 1: JOCKEY CLUB HOTEL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP - 1470m

No racing incidents

Race 2: GYMPIE PRINTING MAIDEN PLATE – 1170M

The start of the race was delayed due to CLANG’S TOUCH proving difficult to load.

Correct weight was delayed for jockey A.Badger to view the photo finish for third. Jockey A.Badger was satisfied with the placing’s and correct weight was declared as per numbers semaphored.

GOOD RAP – Fractious proceeding to barriers. Trainer W.Wormer was advised a warning would be placed on the Gelding’s pre-race manners. Jumped away with head in air. Checked off heels at the 900m. App.S.Alam reported that horse raced greenly in early stages.

MANAK – Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

CLANG”S TOUCH – Proved difficult to load. Rider M.Palmer questioned in regards to the Colt’s performance, he stated that the horse raced ungenerously and that a further distance maybe more suitable for CLANG’S TOUCH. Trainer M.Bailey agreed with comments made by Jockey Palmer. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 3: GARRARD’S PEST & TURF SUPPLIES CLASS 3 PLATE - 1170M

ONLINES- Bumped on jumping away.

GARDER LA FOI - Bumped on jumping away.

EPIC MISS - Jumped away awkwardly.

Race 4: GARRARD”S VETERINARY SERVICES CLASS B HANDICAP – 1030m

SCRATCHY- Checked and lost ground passing the 700m when tightened for room to the inside of A DEAL OF HONOUR, which shifted in. App. J.Hodge, rider of A DEAL OF HONOUR was issued with a reprimand under AR137(a) for this incident.

THE YES MAN – Knuckled on jumping.

SMALL TALK – Steadied and lost ground when tightened for room on jumping. App.G.Leung reported horse resented the kick back.

CLIFFORD – Raced wide throughout without cover.

Race 5: GARRARD”S HORSE & HOUND BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1030m
