Honeywell RACE 1: ASPIRE HAIR DESIGN Class B Handicap 850M Stewards permitted Melody O’Brien (BY CONCENT) to ride half over her allotted weight. MONO GIRL – Blundered on jumping shifted out and made heavy contact with STORM ANCHOR. Approaching the 600m had to steady from heels. STORM ANCHOR – Bumped heavily on jumping. Raced wide throughout. Approaching the 600m had to steady from the heels of LIVERPOOL JANE which shifted in. Jason Hoopert was advised to exercise more care. CORDIALE – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost considerable ground. BY CONCENT – Slow to begin. FYNNSTAR – App. Van Der Sanden reported that the gelding hung out rounding the home turn. RACE 2: ADVICE PARTNERS Maiden Plate 1170M WENSLEY ROAD – App. C. Bayliss was questioned in regards to the geldings performance he stated that approaching the first turn the gelding was inclined to lay out, resented the kick back in the early stages and therefore settled further back than anticipated. He also stated that approaching the 600m the gelding began to improve and finished the race off well and in his opinion the would suit a race over further ground. UNTOLD SAGA – Over raced in the early stages. CENTENARIO - Raced wide with no cover throughout. PURSLANE – Raced wide throughout. Raced greenly leaving the 600m. Hung out rounding the home turn. RACE 3: RSL CLUB BenchMark 45 Handicap 1170M BINESI – Improved on to heels near the 600m and had to steady. BAIO- Bumped on jumping. SAMUEL JAMES – Bumped on jumping. DEAR MAMA – Raced wide throughout. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight. RACE 4: VIETNAM VETS BenchMark 60 Handicap 1030M Prior to the start SNITZIOLA displaced its off hind shoe and was unable to be replaced. After consultation with trainer and jockey stewards permitted the gelding to race. SNITZIOLA – Raced wide throughout. MONTE LAGO – Raced wide no cover throughout. Post-race vet reported the gelding to have to small abrasions on the front of both stifles. RACE 5: GYMPIE RSLA SUB-BRANCH DIGGERS CUP BenchMark 60 Handicap 1470M TUNED IN - Near the 800m had to check from heels of I GOT TRIX which shifted in. Jockey L. Appo was issued with a reprimand. LEAPS AND BOUNDS – App. C. Bayliss was was fined $200 for making a celebratory gesture prior to the finish of the event. I GOT TRIX – Leaving the 400m tailed out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that gelding was lame in the lame off fore leg. Trainer J. Forde was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to racing again.
